Charlton fans are none too happy it's been postponed. They feel the EFL should have enforced Rovers to play as Sunderland tonight are playing with 8 players out due to covid and the EFL told Burton their match against Hull in November had to go ahead despite players out with covid.

Can understand it, although we lost a game earlier this season when our opponents were isolating. What's the justification the EFL are using for our game being off while Sunderland is on?

Blimey. How can Sunderland be playing if they have 8 players who’ve tested for Covid? There must be a difference. Is it just players out ill and speculation that it’s Covid? Perhaps some very complicated difference. Either way with London in tier 3 and Bristol in tier 3 it’s sensible that it’s been postponed. UTG!

Anyone know what happens if you've already paid for the game on ifollow?
Refund? rolled on to when its rescheduled? use the match pass for another game?

In the case of the Accrington game, the club confirmed that all match passes bought would automatically roll over to the rearranged fixture, I assume this will be the same case for tonight’s and Saturday’s postponements.

Sunderland appear to be playing the big boy Billy bollox card here. They are saying that they did not call off the game and notify the EFL because they are afraid of any sanctions that may have come their way from the investigation by the EFL. ie. Points deduction, fine etc. I find that to be absolutely staggering in view of the covid situation and totally irresponsible with at least eight first tamers tested positive and others with symptoms. What the hell are the EFL doing in even allowing them to play?

That's a bit rich of them when Charlton have had a positive Covid test in their U23s, so their match today against AFC Croydon Athletic in the London Senior cup was called off.

You'd assume that Sunderland would have tested the remaining players, but that is not a fail safe.
I don't remember such drama when games were postponed earlier in the season for Covid cases.

Plymouth look very good, Mayor and Cooper both quality players." Few weeks later and BOOM 3-0, have some of that!
