EFL rules state that face masks must be worn going into the stadium. Clubs are allowed to make a decision on whether they can be removed while fans are in their places. Premier league clubs fans must wear masks at all times. So it’s a CLUB decision on the masks having to worn for the whole game. Glad I live in South Glos then and don’t have a decision to make, rather watch on I follow. A decision to make? I'll be wearing my mask to protect other people from this vile disease. If you find that so hard to swallow, as you say, better you watch on telly.

The lines weren’t drawn for the pandemic, they are the Pre existing local authority lines. South Gloucestershire was put in Tier 3 with Bristol and North Somerset. North Somerset because the rates were high and rising plus the health provision in the area was in danger of being overwhelmed not just because it was next to Bristol - however, the fact that a lot of people work in Bristol may have contributed. Banes has consistently had low rates, even Bath itself and better healthcare provision so went into Tier 2 where it remains. As someone said earlier, people don’t know the rules (they are too complicated), few trust the government (why should they when they demonstrate an inability to understand or keep to the rules?) and common sense is anything but common.

I see someone now quoting 3500 season tickets have been sold. Not seen confirmation of that. What is the figure? When tickets are allocated I would guess quite a few who get picked will not want to attend until they feel safe. Do the club intend to initiate a reply option asking if people will accept the invite? Otherwise we might end up with 500-600 there which would be a shame. If you take the trouble to read the clubs website statement all will become clear.

Masks are NOT being worn at non league grounds or not even some league grounds and nor are they being worn around Broadmead, Cribbs or places far more packed than 1,000 socially distanced people in a stadium that holds 12 x that many where the people that go won’t actually be those that are most vulnerable or most worried about the risks. Completely OTT nonsense.

The Rovers are allowed by the EFL to decide if face masks are to be worn in the ground. They have exercised that right, so if you don't want to wear a mask you simply don't go. As I said earlier the Premier league has exercised their option that face masks have to be worn. The EFL have been more flexible and are allowing the clubs to decide whether masks should be worn.

EFL give clubs the choice so why don’t the club give their fans the same choice?

Why masks having to be worn all game? It’s not the rule at every club and its certainly not normal in non league where spectators have been attending. EFL rules state that face masks must be worn going into the stadium. Clubs are allowed to make a decision on whether they can be removed while fans are in their places. Premier league clubs fans must wear masks at all times. Makes sense but I was watching match of the day the other night and the majority of fans in the grounds weren’t wearing masks during the games. And that pretty much sums up why we’re the worst hit country in Europe. A stupid government elected by stupid people.
