Looks like his Black & White striped pyjamas are going in the bin. Wasn't he more than the Manager? Didn't he buy shares in them or something?

Ex rovers managers showcasing that league 2 is no walk in the park.... You have to say Darrell is doing pretty well right now....

Shame it hasn't worked out for Ollie there. I have a soft spot for Grimsby, great set of fans they have there and they've been through the mill like we have, but still got decent attendances pre-COVID. It's a shame to see them struggling, but I did think that Ollie and Grimsby were an odd match. Still, he should have done much better there than he has.
It would be a surprise to see him in another managerial role now, as this will have further tainted his reputation that was so high back when he was at Blackpool.

Not going to lie, I always wanted Ollie back, because he was the first manager I properly watched Rovers matches as a kid.
Reading those responses on Twitter, alongside various rovers interviews over the last few years since the change in ownership, is a sad thing to see.
Because it becomes apparent how sadly hollow his words are.

Bad loss last night at home! Hasn’t done much for them?
If he had been our manager and done the same here, what would our fans and owners be thinking re keeping him on?
Also, let’s not forget how the season was curtailed last year? If more than 50% of games played and season stopped as per last year, with new virus, etc. risk of this happening is increasing so if a club is near relegation border and not distant from it, it could face relegation? Gas need to make sure we win as many as we lose from now on to be reasonably safe if this scenario does come up?
PS Shrews have dramatically picked up form since new manager? Beat Donny away last night!
Stay Safe Gas Safe! UTG

Looks like it wasn't just a results based decision.... He said he leaves "with a heavy heart" but said he was prompted to do so after majority shareholder John Fenty told him of his intention to sell."It's time for a fresh start across the board for this great club," Holloway wrote.www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/55422585

At least he resigned and didn’t hang on for a payoff ! Very rare nowadays !! Yeah in some ways admirable but doesn’t Holloway have a habit of resigning when the going gets tough h? I may have got this wrong but he’s always struck me as being the sort of manager who jumps to avoid relegations on his CV. I agree with previous posters though that he is probably finished as a manager now. I also swore blind that Coughlan would struggle to get a manager’s job again but actually looking at Grimsby he could potentially be a good fit for them. Wouldn’t be at all surprised if he is at least a contender.

Reading some of the twitter comments from their fans is interesting, I agree that's probably his last stab at management.

I can't see that the misfortune of a true Bristol Rovers legend is anything to celebrate, its sad things did not work out for him there.

I'm sad it didn't work out for Ollie there it seems he put so much effort in and money too. He can always get back on TV and tell all the other managers who have kept their jobs what to do. He can always get tips from Alan 'I know how to manage, but I can't do it' Shearer.
