As Rovers fans, we’ve not had a great deal to smile about recently.
Here’s a question to get you thinking...
Which goal NOT scored by Bristol Rovers did you celebrate the most?
I’ll go first...
One that sticks out in my mind was Keiran Trippier’s free kick for England in the semi final against Croatia. I thought at that point that England were going to do the unthinkable and win the World Cup.

Some young chap from hull scored a pretty decent one at Wembley from what I recall,can't think for the life of me who it was against? Anyone remember?

David Platt vs Belgium - Italia 90. It just had everything. Fabulous tournament. Great England team. Stunning goal with seconds to go - that swivel and that volley

My partner is Croatian though so it was very short lived. In football: Got to be Trippier or Kane Vs Croatia. Kane’s was the nations league and I managed to go, so that added to the atmosphere. Rugby: Wilkinson Vs Australia to win the World Cup. Although just beating NZL was pretty f**king mental, was in Japan too. Ice hockey: Saw Team GB beat France in golden goal after being 3-0 down to win 4-3. Winner stays up - after quite a few beers I remember celebrating that like Lee Browns winner tbh EDIT: might have to add in England actually winning a penalty shootout in the WC too |

I really believed we were gonna do it at the moment, god damn stupid Ronaldinho! Haha |

Beckham against Greece in the last minute had me out of my chair Remember it well. Was watching the match in a sports bar in Dublin with my wife. Let's just say when he scored my self and a few others let it known to the annoyance of the locals who were willing him to miss we were English. Got one or two nasty looks after!! |

Another vote for Beckham vs Greece. I was jumping around the living room with my Dad, great memories.
If we're talking other clubs, plenty of limbs when Man Utd scored their 2 injury time goals against Bayern in 99. Not quite sure why my Dad and I celebrated so much as neither of us were Utd fans!

Several by Dennis Bergkamp, some were so sublime. Incredible player. For a goal nothing to do with England or Rovers, his winner against Argentina in 1998 was well celebrated here. |

Another I remember celebrating a lot was South Korea's winner against Italy in WC 2002, as regardless of the circumstances it was so great to see a smaller home nation country dump the Italians out.
