true. As mentioned previously listening to him and talking to him after the mental health night at the mem he had no real ambition to pursue management and was happy staying in the background.unless he had a drastic change if heart I cant see that's a path he would choose. His match day routine he had was funny to listen too but you could see how life around a football match had to be a constant. Would have him as a assistant on the touchline though instead of the other two. The man who took the most important penalty in the history of Bristol Rovers FC, and took it with ice cold blood aiding his most ruthless right foot struggled with mental health? Take a bow Mr Mansell. I very much prefer stories of overcoming mental health issues than stories of acceptance of them. For many, a little dedication, perspective and courage is required. For others, perhaps not so easy. If only we all had stable, happy lives, especially as children, then these issues would be far lower. I hope we learn our lessons as a society, as many less developed places have much better mental health, due to support networks of extended families. In our pursuit of more, faster, sooner, we seem to have forgotten the point. Excuse me while I throw up for saying something so tree-hugger. I’ll be forming a drum circle next. This is so true. The most high pressure moment I’ve witnessed first hand on a football pitch, and Manse stepped up like he was having a kick about in the park. Cool as ice, leader and legend

Unless the right appointment can be made now with someone that might not be available at the end of the season
I would appoint internally short term till the end of the season not permanent. So if Mansell wants to see how he gets on if he's a success then offer him a contract going forward if he doesn't then he could refer back his current position
Who ever comes in has to work with the current squad with may be the option of a unattached striker so really not in any better position than tisdale was
Short term for me, have a good last 20 games then decide at the end of season

Completely understandable why somebody wouldn't give up a relatively cushy job in the background to put themselves in a pressurized situation where it's very likely you will find yourself signing on the dole within a couple of months.
