Lansdown is a sneaky bugger. First he buys Bristol Rugby and takes them out of the Mem so we lose out on rent money from them, hoping we go into financial difficulties.
Then he buys the snake to stop us getting promoted.
Now he sacks his manager at the perfect time, probably in an attempt to hijack our potential new manager, in hope it messes things up for us and then relegates us. He really is threatened by us!

When sizing up City, don’t get it out of perspective.
Yes they have a lovely ground etc but look who’s around them. Teams with facilities like that are ten a penny in the championship.
They went from being a top of league one or lower championship team to being an established championship team.
Yes they do have half a chance of premier league. They did before, any championship club has half a chance of premier league.
What changed in the meantime is now they are one arm of a multi brand strategy. This isn’t rotten tomatos, it’s true. They have to compete with Rugby and all sorts for funding.
The area of the club which generates the most profit tends to get the most funding.
If, and it’s an if, Wael can get us a ground, I would take our position over theirs. Rather be a standalone football club with one guy worth several hundred million than one part of a holding company with many subsidiaries with a guy with a few more hundreds of millions. Wael is a football guy and Lansdown isn’t, he’s already done £60m on them trying to buy his promotion to the prem. that didn’t work, so he’s now trying the rugby/woman’s football/disabled gymnastics/men’s speedway canoeing route.

Why do they seem to have the same season every year? Mad isn't it, they seem to go on streaks of wins and then streaks of losses every season.

They have been a good manager away from the premier league for a few years now. Fortunately they always hire the wrong guy. Eddie Howe would be the man I would be going for. Hopefully they make another pig’s ear of it. I do agree about being a decent manager away to a certain extent but I don’t think Lansdowne is that bothered to pump the necessary £ into the team to get them to the prem he’s got Premiership rugby and the bears (fnar) are top of the tree now which in comparison to football has been relatively cheap and fast to deliver. Bristol as a footballing town is a perennial underachiever and just not attractive to big name managers or players To be fair C*ty are a bigger club than Bournemouth

I reckon Paul Cook will get the job. Good football, develops players and relatively cheap for the Championship. Would also be popular with the fans and they’re baying for blood at the minute. Some are even calling for the Lansdowns to go🙄

If the C*ty board had acted a bit quicker they could have appointed Darrell Clarke.
Never mind Ollie is still available

Why do they seem to have the same season every year? Annoying isn’t it - it’s only their great starts to each season that ultimately keep them up.

They used to have bad starts and go on 15 game winning runs. Usually with one of the following on teletext: Bell 89 (pen) Bell 90+5 (pen) Or Murray 90+9

Man City, Liverpool , Rangers fans will be biting their finger nails worried to death that they will lose their manager to one of the sleeping giants of world football! Seriously though i do not understand this belief over there or indeed by some on here that Bristol City are a premiership club or that is where they belong. Historically they are a tier two/three club and just because they had a short time in tier 1( which ultimately led to a rapid fall to tier 4 and extinction) does not make them a 'premiership club elect'. There are many far bigger clubs in the championship and even in our league who are vastly under achieving, yes they have an impressive 'infrastructure' but City fans would do well to remember that those facilities are not just there for the football club indeed i would go as far as to say that Lansdowne's financial aspirations lie in other directions and the football club is not the most important cog in a very big wheel, The fans would do well to remember that Lansdowne is a very successful businessman who did not get where he is by 'chasing dreams and rainbows' but by sound investment. I do not believe he is going to risk millions by chasing the dream. Some of the managers there fans tout for the job will demand certain financial guarantees which he, rightly imho, will not give ,hence the appointments in recent years. The Lee Johnson era turned out well IMHO, and he gave them several very good championship campaigns with some of the best nights in there history, yet fans were moaning about his tenure last night, even Holden has them in a comfortable mid table position with plenty of far bigger clubs below them. City are a selling club who do not attract the top players and have been very successful in making millions via the transfer market , fans should be very grateful for what they have while realising that the football club is just part of the Lansdowne vision and not the sole reason for his patronage, personally i abhor what they have become and have no wish for Rovers to emulate them, my ambition for Rovers do not go beyond a decent modest stadium and a team capable of promotion and competing in tier 2, like City are now, would that ambition change after a few years in tier 2? believe it or not 'nope' i honestly have no desire what so ever Rovers to be part of the fantasy world of the premiership, Up the Rovers!

Having spent the time since Holden was appointed vilifying, cursing and demanding he be sacked the Sh1!heads will no doubt start thanking him for al” he’s done for them. They’ve already star5ed saying how they want Clitterell back, after they hounded him out for daring to put them into the Champ. relegation spots, and are even saying that things were better under the Midget, after they spent four years and countless bed sheets demanding he was fired. What a horrible bunch of six fingered, web footed, pointy headed retards. I don't like their club one bit, but why do you say "they" as if all of them have the same opinion? Some are dickheads, some aren't. Some talk total BS, some don't. Same with Gasheads and any other fanbase. Banter between the two sets of fans is great, but I wouldn't want any of them to tar us on here with the same brush. Let's not do it with them as well.
