How nice it is to finally have a partnership upfront who link well and have a genuine appreciation for each other's game. For most of the season, and the last few seasons in general, it's been like watching two strangers upfront together.
But in Taylor and Blissett we have two guys who complement each other perfectly, and have an almost telepathic understanding of where the other will be. Blissett's introduction at HT yesterday was a major reason why we ended up winning the game - as his pace, movement and aerial ability terrorised their defence. Every time he flicks it on, Taylor seems to be on the end of it.
One of the nicest moments from yesterday's game was Taylor running over to Bliss as the players were clapping the fans infront of the Blackthorn and jumping on him etc. They seem to have built up a great relationship on and off the pitch already, and I think we're seeing the rewards for that.
Early days yet, but Blissett looks to have been a great signing by DC, and given a new lease of life Taylor's Rovers career as well.

Both are hard working players with Blissett having the power and Taylor the movement and pace. A special mention as well for Balanta who I thought played a big part in winning us the game when he came on.

The one that has missed so many chances this season that it has cost us a possible place at the very top of this god forsaken league.Blisset hasn't been here long enough for that to apply to him,so I will leave you to work out the answer.

If your sole issue is that he doesn't score enough and you concede that his all round game is good how can you continue to knock him now he is scoring? You do realize we are Bristol Rovers in the conference right? He has skills, work rate and some pace. If his conversion rate of chances to goals was any better he wouldn't be playing for us anyway.

Would that be the one who is the clubs top scorer ?? Or may be the one that could well be the Divisions top scorer.Had he converted a few more of the many missed chances. He is nowhere near as good as people make him out to be.He is a striker and a strikers jobs is to score goals, his goals to chances ratio is very poor.If he improves he will get praise.I have no problem being proven wrong, especially by a player from my club.He hasn't however shown anything to suggest that he has it in him.YET.

And what happens when Matty Tubbs signs in January? I don't think he will. Will we need him? We will need a winger again then.

We would have scored more had he not stupidly strayed offside in the first half, and wastefully blew a great chance in the second half.Just think how that would have improved our goal difference. A goal difference which is wretched, mainly due to your man missing so many easy chances since the very first game of the season.

Not even Bolt would have got on the end of that first one without being offside, try harder. So we wouldn't have scored 2 if he hadn't have played but we may have scored one and he should be dropped because of that. The goal difference isn't bad because of Matty Taylor. It may have been three or four better but then he's made goals too. Our goal difference wouldn't be Barnet or Grimsby level unless your saying Taylor has been the difference scoring an extra 18 or 29 goals, taking his six out.
