Very true, a lot of younger people are interested in how we can use our minds (not just our brains) to improve our overall performance in life. It's very popular in professional sport, and if it creates a placebo effect I'm happy to take that. Absolutely. I'm a skeptic with any sort of pseudoscience, but while I cannot abide people believing these things can provide a real physiological impact in terms of healing disease and injury, I can certainly understand where someone's mindset can improve from it. Half the battle in sport and life is having a healthy mind with a positive and confident mentality, and that's the half that we've been missing this season in my view. I’m sure half of the people taking the water out of JB for his spiritual beliefs are quite happy to call on the Christian god or some other invisible friend or sky-pixie when things get tough, or scary, or whatever, though? I don’t care if he believes that Winnie the Pooh is our Redeemer and ate Hunny to save us all, as long as we avoid the drop and he instills some passion and fight in this woeful bunch . . .

I would imagine it revolves around the unresolved stadium issue (essentially pulling out of UWE and not getting a replacement programme in place, publically at least) and the reduced influence of the Supporters Club. Are the latest accounts due soon? The SC had no influence anyway, not since WAQ came in, thats why they hate it so much. You only had to listen to the lies they told when Masters left as well as one of their members being involved in a collusion in a child safeguarding accusation against our owner to realise that. You forgot the theft of £100,000 to pay off a bingo debt

So here we are. We are now in a situation where we are not in control of our destiny. We need teams around us to fail to ensure we can succeed. Failure amongst the relegation candidates will occur but can we take advantage. We have beaten Lincoln already this season and so where there is hope I remain confident. This team might just do enough to win today and carry on our unbeaten run. I’m on the “avoid relegation motivational bus” and it’s setting off. It is a short ride with a few twists and turns to disrupt the journey but we are not relegated yet. Nervous, you bet. Any win today will keep our hopes alive for a better future. Time for our strikers to shine and get us remotely cheering. Bring it on. Time to be ground breaking. Bus is ready and picking up passengers for another must win.

Love your optimism Rich but I really do feel like the Megabus £1 a seat journey is going to end in tears, a bit like when the 28 stone smelly man takes the seat next to you for the 8 hour journey to Leeds. Love to be proved wrong mate, if we win today and either Wigan or Wimbledon drop points I may consider getting a ticket anyway!! UTG

Hopefulness is the energy that keeps us believing in better. It’s not over until it’s impossible. It’s not totally in our hands but we are led by a winner and that might be enough.
