What an inspirational figure Joey Barton is. He’s a ground-breaking man who aims high and is just what Rovers need. It’s a rollercoaster but no one can deny that he is throwing his heart and soul into saving the club.
When asked what kind of points total he expects from the final six games of the season, Barton said: "Eighteen out of eighteen, why not?
"We give everyone a game. We gave Sunderland, who are at the top of the league, a game.
"We should win all six games. That’s the intention and that’s the demand."
So, so pleased he is in charge. I have been very quiet of late but strap yourself in for a “Ride of your Rovers life”. The ground-breaking bus is ready to ride again.

I Dont t know if he’ll keep us up this season but even if he doesn’t I think he’ll be good for us longer term. If he stays out of trouble.

I can't keep up with the Bartmeister.
Last week we were a shambles, the like of which he'd never seen before, even at amateur level. Now we're good enough to get six straight wins. Funny old business, this motivation and mind games thing. I'm sure he knows what he's doing.

"We give everyone a game. We gave Sunderland, who are at the top of the league, a game."
Haven't we given most top of the league sides a game this season, Sunderland & Posh away, Pompey at home etc, our problem has been regularly losing to the bottom 6 sides, I'd imagine all of our managers wanted us to win ever game we played this season, the issue has been going out and winning them.

Win Saturday and we might all start believing we can stay up - Myself included and I thought we were dead and almost buried.
Lose and the Darkness will descend again.

He has managed a team thats won one in, what is it, eight? This thread is embarrassing.

I’m even more excited about the belief that he is instilling in the team and some/many of the fans. He’s right, there’s no point looking back. You learn and look forward. We are on the start of a ground-breaking run. We’ve won one out of one with winnable games ahead. Jump on, enjoy the ride. It promises to be an exciting finish for sure. Not embarrassing just hopeful and believing we can make it.

Do managers ever say in public that they expect less than 100% wins? Bit daft if they do. And in our current position he really doesn't have any choice! After 5 straight defeats, 5 straight wins would be very welcome

Winning is what Joey is about and he’s got me and many energised. We were down and nearly out out he has gave us some light that is worth going for. He’s setting a ground breaking goal that team are aiming at. His enthusiasm and belief might well keep us out of bottom four. I’m on his ground breaking journey along with thousands of gas fans who are crossing their fingers hoping he can turn it around. Performances of late suggest we will might well make it.

I , like Joey and thousands more look forward with positivity and hope in our hearts.

Been a bit on the fence about JB if I'm honest. When he first arrived I was not sure he was the right one for us, then he started convincing me as I liked the cut of his jib but then he started to turn me off with the whining about officials and calling out of Ehmer.
I'm hopeful that Saturday will prove to be our turning point but at the same time also afraid to get my hopes up after being disappointed so many times this season.
What I will say about JB is that I think he could be on to something with the way he appears to be trying to instill a positive winning mentality into the group. Perhaps that had to start with a recognition that everything was not ok which I think we would all agree was definitely the case!
Throughout the season I have wondered whether part of the problem has been the players lacking that self belief that you must have to be successful and win.
If JB can get this team on a winning run that results in us staying up then I will believe that he's the one for us.

Tired of this suggestion that if you don’t share the same enthusiasm for Barton, you must want Rovers to lose.
Of course that isn’t true, we were all Gasheads before Barton and we’ll all be Gasheads after he leaves, to suggest people suddenly want a team that they obsess about enough to post on a forum dedicated to it, to lose just because of a manager is nonsense.
