I can't see many decent players wanting to come and join Rovers. I expect Mr.Barton will raid the Conference. Bleak future, clapped out stadium, club run by total incompetents. Very much like the 50 years I've supported the club. Plus ca change.

Ed is not the reason we may get relegated. He has had some good moments with us without being the inspiration we desperately need. His sending off today was unfortunate and avoidable but being human we are all capable of making wrong calls from time to time, i am sure he is feeling pretty low at the moment without us all jumping on him. Even i am thinking relegation is likely but i still think the future could be bright for Rovers, we just have to take a step back in order to go forward. I am encouraged and excited by a few players who are coming through and who i expect to make a big impact next season, Mehew, Tomlinson, Martinez, Hoole, Warwick is a very exciting prospect imho, and one or two others. I have been disappointed one or two have not been tried this season ,given our struggles but these players together with JB'S own signings and passion give me hope that good times are just round the corner, this season has been one of the most distressing in my 60 plus years of support but day always follows night and the sun shines again when the storm has gone, we will rise again, up the Rovers!

As crap as Upson is. He has not been at fault for goals conceded and has not missed chance after chance. The fault for our current position lays firmly on our crap defenders and strikers and the people that cannot see that they are not up to the job. Shouldn't that be "did not see"? I should think they can bloody well see it now. We all know Upson isn't any good, but as with Westbrooke,he always gets the largest amount of sh** on here. The players that I have mentioned are far more culpable than Upson for the position we find ourselves in . They have been nothing short of abysmal all season. When was the last time that a team scored a really good goal against us? Or if it comes to that. How many decent goals have we conceded this season? We have been the architects of our own demise.

Given the time and a few drinks, reckon I could find reason to blame each and every player and every member of the recruitment and coaching staff for being where we are. Oh, and those that are no longer here.

Actually I think Upson had a decent spell here in GCs team. With Ogogo and Clarke he was part of a formidable defensive midfield screen. Pretty? No. Effective? Definitely. Apart from that time he has been pretty average to be fair.
I suspect today's game was his last for us.

Now this wage blagger can’t play the next 3 games, get ozzy in the midfield and actually create something. Never praised Ed the whole time he’s been here, blokes an embarrassment. About as much impact as sideways Campbell. Hope he never wears the shirt again. Strange post. Campbell was a good servant for us. Your right Campbell was an absolute beast for us in midfield. I watched extended highlights of the JPT home game v the sh** the other day he absolutely bossed the midfield. Fantastic player for us and how much we’ve needed his type this season. Upson by comparison is sh**e.

You introduce them slowly and play them alongside experienced players

Great, another season of hoping kids develop into league players, that work out well this season! As far as Tomlinson he's been around the first team for at least two seasons but never seems to be able to step up to regular 1st team action, I wouldn't be surprised if he's released this summer.

Worked out well? has not been tried has it? of course you could go down the road of signing loads of players from else where like this season , oh but hang on that has got us relegated! never mind lets do the same again eh and while we are at it get rid of an exciting talent like Tomlinson, makes a lot of sense that , some might think its just stupid.

Apparently we have 39 players (why?) I think a good 20 should go.

He’s a complete wet wipe in midfield and gets out fought for everything and has a passing range of a 2 year old.

The problem being a defensive midfielder is If you sit and protect the defence then you are seen as not doing enough or you pass too much sideways or If you run around a lot then you are seen as playing like a headless chicken and criticised for that. It seems like the only type of midfielder that gets any kind of praise is a box to box one who can score goals and we haven't had too many of those in all the years I have supported Rovers.
