When it comes to our players on the pitch and at the training ground every story that emerges highlights a complete shambles.

If Barton banned the use of snus at training and match days including travel to away games unintended consequences could have ensued. Snus seems to be more addictive than cigarettes by the presence of nicotine and if they are denied their nicotine fix, intense craving, irritability and depressed mood can occur. This could have contributed to the results decline since Barton arrived. Why would anyone want to be addicted to this snus with the risks of various cancers.

Add to that the fact that Snus is actually illegal in the UK & most of the EU - that means they could only have obtained it unlawfully . . .

It's illegal to buy and sell in the UK (and EU except Sweden) It is not illegal to have it or use it. You can quite legally go online and purchase it from abroad

Some of these players need a long hard look at themselves as does whichever manager tolerated that sh** going on at the training ground. We are supposed to be a professional football club not a Dam youth centre in town.

Tried something similar when I was travelling around Scandinavia many years ago , it was quite popular up there. Made me drousey AF, give it a miss but try the pickled fish.

I smoked, I then vaped, I am now on nicotine gum and lozenge and have been for a year.
Nicotine without combustion can be mildly like caffeine but more of an intense but short lived buzz. It’s the crack cocaine of caffeine if you will.
It has zero performance enhancing capability and any which might exist is so minimal you may as well just have an espresso.
Nicotine’s main property isn’t how it makes you feel, it’s how it makes you feel when you don’t have it. It’s key characteristic is addiction.
The buzzy feeling lasts about 3 days before it’s purely making you feel normal and you just feel rank without it.
This craze is just that, it’s young kids who can’t smoke wanting to rebel/try something which doesn’t affect their performance like smoking will.
Genuinely in their own time it isn’t an issue, nicotine alone is the same damage of caffeine. Not at work though

If the players are craving a bit of a buzz I would thoroughly recommend winning a few games of footy. There’s nothing quite like it.

This is why I have no problem with Joey Barton telling it as it is , it’s could ro hear the truth even if it is crap news, the whole club , not just the players need to evaluate what this club means to all the fans that for years have ploughed their hard earned cash, let’s start fro now and start operating a professional football club, it’s so disheartening to hear this sh** is going on.

"Only you know how I loathe, this place called Tobacco Road". Many of our Players have let the Supporters of BRFC down immensely and it's not the relegation so much as it can happen to any Club, it is the spineless manner that they have accomplished it. Snus may or may not have played a part, however at the very least it can allow some to hide behind their performance on the field. Discipline must be implemented from now onwards.

What are you suggesting.... 50 press ups, or a day in the iron maiden?

I don't know why you'd bother unless you're givin up the fags.... I found this sh1t gave me mouth ulcers, chronic hiccups, and a really achy jaw.... The nicotine will cause the hiccups.

Perhaps they’d rather compete at this than football?

Just out of interest who introduced this to rovers training sessions and did both mangers before Barton condone the use of it
