Hi Tilly, Those were Clare’s words last season when I bought my 20/21 ST. I recall them vividly when she said it’d be full price for next season in line with level playing field. You will note above my questioning of Tom Gorringe to which I have received a very weak response. It’s all wrong tbh.
I’m too busy to push any further but I’m well aware what Level Playing Field is set out to achieve and Rovers stance is not it. I would be interested to learn what other clubs are doing.

I'm saddened to hear that Rovers have followed other clubs in using the Level Playing Field ideology to justify such a large increase in the price of tickets for people with a disability. The provision of a "free" ticket for the carer is viewed as a reasonable adjustment under the Equality Act - it would be unreasonable to expect a fan to be comfortable receiving highly personal support from a total stranger (e.g. steward or club employee). The Level Playing Field website states:- "LPF’s view is that, in an ideal world concessionary pricing related to accessibility would not be required, as everyone will be treated equally. However, this is clearly not the case at the moment with many sporting venues continuing to offer below standard facilities and services to disabled customers and a limited choice of seating provisions. Where an existing concession price is to be withdrawn or reduced for disabled spectators, then LPF would urge that it be withdrawn by the club / venue over a period of time and in a measured way (e.g. small incremental increases over several seasons) and always in consultation with the local disabled fans and their representative groups. This principal should also apply to increases to any ticket prices and their related concessions." Although Rovers informed those affected via e-mail, they have not followed the guidance regarding a gradual increase, I do not know if the relevant fans and groups were consulted before action was taken. Rovers clearly "offer below standard facilities and services to disabled customers and a limited choice of seating provisions" so an increase from £125 a season to £340 seems ridiculous to me. Spot on Pirate. I assume the lean to below the new scoreboard is for disabled away supporters. I look across at that and have to admit it is a total embarassment. Having said that the Mem as a whole is. I find it quite staggering that the club have brought in these ridiculous increases for those in society less able than the vast majority of us and for me lacks a total disregard for a very small minority of our fanbase but none the less an important one. .

Season ticket sorted for next season , back in the Blackthornend, really can’t wait. My son decided he no longer wants a ST so if anyone notices a fat lonely figure standing slightly to the left of the goal , please come over and keep me company 😂😂

I think that some other clubs, implemented this a couple of seasons ago, using the same justification, the 82'ers were one such club and I believe there was uproar from their supporters - they may have got some sort of reduction as a result (not totally sure on that). I'm ashamed that Rovers have followed suit, and are also hiding behind the Level Playing Field tag (basically, turning it on it's head as far as I'm concerned). I messaged the FB page for our Disabled Supporters Association, and it would seem that there wasn't any consultation, apart from informing people in advance that there would be a price increase this season. In common with other people, my disability sometimes prevents me from attending games, so a full price ST is not a great option.

Has anybody got any credit carried over from the old ticket site? From the 2019/20 curtailed season I opted for credit refunded to use for future tickets, but there is no sign of it in my account. Cheers I’m missing mine. Think that it could be why they’ve given the ‘loyalty’ bonus instead. I don’t need the credit personally, so I’m not going out of my way to challenge it. Would be interested to know the outcome of anyone that does though as I was planning to use the credit to indoctrinate my nephews so I don’t have to keep seeing them wear Liverpool shirts.

I'm with you on this, when it was offered last year I couldn't really afford to gift it to the club but didn't want to take cash out as refund as knew how tough cash flow would be for club too. I could afford ticket now at full rate, just really the principle of wanting to know why my £61 isn't there as can't see any comms saying the credit would expire

Daft question but here goes anyway , how long do they usually take to arrive on your door ? Is it within a few weeks or near to the start of the season ? Due to Covid is there any delays ?

If it a renewal you simply use your existing card. From memory new ST's arrive just before the start of the season.

I usually buy my brothers ST with carers ticket (for me to help him) and then I also buy a ST for myself for those days when he isn't well enough to go. I also paid for disabled parking in the stadium to make life easier for him, but it seems that because I didn't purchase a space which we couldn't have used for this season, am not likely to get a space for him. Certainly can't afford to purchase 2 full price tickets, and this has left a severely sour taste. Not sure I want to be associated with a club that now treats less abled supporters like this. Brother has supported Rovers for 57 years, and when he was well, we didn't miss a match home or away for 7 years, breaks my heart, he is now so severely disabled, it was literally the only bright thing left in his life.

I asked Tom Gorringe the same question. The season before last I didn’t get a ST, I did buy one for the 20/21 season but never received the new card style season ticket - the reason being the club were holding off because they didn’t know if/when the ground would be open or where fans were going to be allocated. Therefore, having just purchased for next season I should be getting a brand new ST card despite appearing to Ticketmaster as someone ‘renewing’. Tom said my ST card should arrive a week or two before the season starts. I’ve flagged this with tickmaster as I don’t trust them not to cock it up!!!

I really feel for you and your brother, and others who will be in a similar position. We all love our football, however, it's a whole different level when somebody is in poor health and it is the mainstay of their life. I've always been proud to support Rovers, regardless of what division we're playing in, today I feel ashamed that they are treating some of their most disadvantaged supporters like this.
