Rich,
Good to hear from you and thanks for all of your support.
I am not too close to the below but I can give you my understanding of the situation.
Upon review last year, our ticketing team suggested that there be a change to our disabled pricing model in line with what other clubs were charging. This was for a full priced purchase plus a free carer, effectively giving you two tickets at half-price.
My understanding is that not wanting to surprise supporters with this out of the blue. All disabled season ticket holders were contacted by the team to inform them that the change would be coming into affect from this season.
Like I said, this isn’t something that I have been directly involved with but that was the rationale behind the change I am told.
I hope that makes sense and rest assured that the last thing that we would want to do is to discriminate against any supporter.
Thanks for all of your support and I hope that we can welcome you back to The Mem soon.
All the best,
Tom Gorringe Commercial Director

However Tom,
Upon reflection of your response and in light of those less fortunate than myself who actually cannot afford a season ticket let’s say due to disability or not being able to work through the pandemic or can’t work at all the increase in excess of 250% is unacceptable given every other area of the ground has been frozen. This is not in line with Level Playing Field and is discriminatory against those with lack of income who are disabled through no fault of their own. It doesn’t impact on me as I can afford to take the hit but like I said there are others who cannot.
I’d like you to raise this at board level just for clarity and justification as to why this stance remains especially after such a cruel 12/18 months to so many.
Kind regards Rich

What a sensible debate this is, and discussed in an adult fashion.

Sorry for being thick but how did you get this to work in the end? I logged into the eTicket page and there is a " My Account" tab in the top right of the screen. Click on that and there is a drop down list. Under " Account Management" click " Account History" You should then be taken to a page with a list of all the historical transactions on it. One of those transactions (probably the most recent one) will be your season ticket purchase. Click on it and the details of that transaction will be there along with an option to " Resend E-mail". That triggers your confirmation e-mail. Weirdly my account balance still says £50 even though I used that credit as part of my season ticket purchase. Proper tin pot.. and that's not a dig at Rovers, this is using Ticketmaster - where you would assume this is their bread and butter and everything should be (more or less) seamless. I have had the confirmation email. It confirms that I have a ST for 20-21. Still getting reminders to purchase 21-22 ?

What a sensible debate this is, and discussed in an adult fashion. Response received below. Hi Rich, Good to hear from you and thanks for your response. As mentioned below, this decision (to my knowledge) was taken pre-pandemic and all supporters affected were contacted to let them know head of time of the change. The pandemic undoubtably has had an affect on all supporters. Many will have faced financial hardship, lost their jobs or even suffered with their health. Anyone that is suffering can contact me directly and we will do (and have done) all we can to hep ensure that they can continue to support the club. I hope that puts your mind at ease a little and rest assured that we will do all we can to help those that need it. Thanks for all of your support. All the best, Tom Gorringe Commercial Director

Mine was the correct season.. check you have the right transaction in the transaction history. I think I have 3 transactions in mine.. the last one was next season's season ticket purchase, then there was a transaction which I think was my membership, then there is one for this season's season ticket (which must have been dated from when they ported over to ticketmaster as it is showing as April 2021 purchase). If you don't have next season showing in the account history then maybe the transaction didn't go through? Best to e-mail ticketmaster (brfctickets@ticketmaster.co.uk)

Am I just unlucky. Had email saying renewal is good to go but it is still trying to take the full fee. Have 3 'tickets/membership' shown as paid but the resend email only works for 2 of them, one of them acknowledging I bought last years ST in April this year? Given up calling ticketmaster as I think 30 mins on hold listening to Ed Sheeran on a continual loop is enough for anyone 🤪

Has anybody got any credit carried over from the old ticket site? From the 2019/20 curtailed season I opted for credit refunded to use for future tickets, but there is no sign of it in my account. Cheers

My ambulant disabled season ticket has increased from £125 a season to £340 for the forthcoming season. Now I’ve had a season ticket since 1987 and only over the last 10 years have I been told I am eligible for a disabled ticket with a free ticket for my ‘carer’. There’s been about a steady increase of circa £10 per season up until this season. I can walk albeit with quite a struggle and can only use my right arm but would never expect any difference in what other (more baked bodied) people pay but the clarity from the club is the disabled season ticket pricing has now been brought into line with the able bodied season ticket holder as part of the level playing field match day experience. Listen, I’ll get a season ticket anyway irrespective of disabled pricing as was or the full pricing as is now. Just thought I’d raise this as there could be long term disabled such as I with income restrictions (which thank god I don’t) that you won’t be seeing this season. UTG I'm saddened to hear that Rovers have followed other clubs in using the Level Playing Field ideology to justify such a large increase in the price of tickets for people with a disability. The provision of a "free" ticket for the carer is viewed as a reasonable adjustment under the Equality Act - it would be unreasonable to expect a fan to be comfortable receiving highly personal support from a total stranger (e.g. steward or club employee). The Level Playing Field website states:- "LPF’s view is that, in an ideal world concessionary pricing related to accessibility would not be required, as everyone will be treated equally. However, this is clearly not the case at the moment with many sporting venues continuing to offer below standard facilities and services to disabled customers and a limited choice of seating provisions. Where an existing concession price is to be withdrawn or reduced for disabled spectators, then LPF would urge that it be withdrawn by the club / venue over a period of time and in a measured way (e.g. small incremental increases over several seasons) and always in consultation with the local disabled fans and their representative groups. This principal should also apply to increases to any ticket prices and their related concessions." Although Rovers informed those affected via e-mail, they have not followed the guidance regarding a gradual increase, I do not know if the relevant fans and groups were consulted before action was taken.

I’m moving back to Bristol in a few weeks and looking at getting both me and my old man one. We both work most Saturdays!
