I was very much pro-Joey before his appointment.
None of this predecessors took us into the relegation zone and I’m convinced we had good enough players to stay up. Some recent statements
“Some of these players wouldn’t get in a school side”
“Alleged strikers”
“Worst team I’ve ever been involved with”
Etc etc.
To me there’s certain ways you go about doing things and ostracising individuals and being plain rude shows a complete lack of class. I don’t mind calling a spade a spade but I feel he’s pointing fingers at previous managers and current players when in truth he’s been the worst performing manager we’ve had in my lifetime that I can remember.
I’ve renewed my season ticket and til be there in august but jury now well and truly out.
UTG have a good summer folks.

Given the strikers haven't scored for over 1200 minutes "alleged strikers" does seem the correct term?

thegasareback, Please tell me what players have played well enough to justify your tag of being good enough to keep us up? I struggle to think of many apart from Annsi, Leahy, Nicholson and McCormick and two out of the four have had injuries. Ehmer,Kilgour and Baldwin have been gifting the opposition goals all season and as for the strikers(and I use that term very lightly) they have struggled all season to find the net. I would go as far to say that I will not be disappointed if most of the squad today are gone by next season.

A good manager cannot save a poor team from defeat but neither should he make a poor team even worse. Joey has managed to do that. Still, if Wael picks up the wage bill for decent summer signings then Joey might do OK in league 2 but he's no wonder cure that's for sure.

And to what degree has his public slating of players added to lack of performance or confidence? To what degree has Barton‘s man management driven us down.? Yes Garner and Mr 100% were largely responsible for setting us on this path, but we will never know if Garner or Tisdale come to that would have taken us down. BUT, no matter what you think about your players, that stays in the changing room and training ground. You stay professional and don’t destroy young players in public.

Leahy is responsible for more goals conceded than the other 3 defenders you slate and you think he's good enough!? Christ you either only see what you want or really do have sh** for brains 😂😂😂

The majority of goals conceded this season have come from players strolling down our left side unimpeded FACT! 64 years of my 71 watching the gas and played in the Gloucester county league against the likes of Bristol St George in their heyday. With respect I am not brainless and fully understand football. I would suggest you are brainless to suggest a full back is expected to stop every goal down one side. If that's the case, on that basis you are suggesting that the rest of the defense is not required.

I'd argue the fact we cant defend set pieces would account for a large chunk of the goals against this season.

I would go as far to say that I will not be disappointed if most of the squad today are gone by next season. And that’s my issue Steve. They haven’t played well enough but that doesn’t make them bad players. Westbrooke played 30 odd games in a championship winning team. Hanlan and Ehmer, like them or hate them, were league one players in a mid table team. Kilgour was a regular for us as a mid table team Keepers are fine Leahy fine even though I’m not having the hype Baldwin was deemed good enough for Sunderland and posh. Nico and Macca - more than fine Grant - I think he’s ok Ayunga has shown raw ability albeit maybe L2. Oz - I don’t quite get how he hasn’t done better. All I’m saying is that this group is far better than what we’ve seen since JB took over, JB took us from comfort to rock bottom and he has to be held accountable. And more-so, name me a top level manager who calls out players so much who is a success.
