We came bloody close to matching longest period of not scoring / not winning in Garners first season did we not? The fault lines were appearing when Joey was still managing another club. People conveniently forget his first season disaster. Only a handful still do this. Don’t they Carlts?

Seriously. Do a review of where we were under Garner, Tisdale and Barton for all the stats you raised above. I’ll be surprised if Barton doesn’t have the worst record for all of them. 4th to 14th, then put together a squad of your own to then get sacked in 18th. Abysmal. Be surprised if you ever work as a first team manager again and feel sorry for anyone daft enough to employ you after proving to be an utter failure. At least the current manager has shown he is capable of rebuilding a side after a previous managers 14th place finish, unlike you and your disaster. Blimey pirate!! I’m not saying you’re wrong but the irony swingometer must be going nuts considering you were his chief supporter when he was appointed. Most of us had never heard of him when you started pushing his name forward. I like most of your posts and the stuff you tell us about but this one has got me chuckling. 😂 UTG!

You love statistics so your man won 6 games out of 36. Extrapolated over a full season that would mean less than 8 wins out of 46 games. Also, don't forget that 3 of those 6 wins were against 10 men.

He is not here to make friends Then let's not currently complain when refs give every 50/50 decision against us, as they seemed to this season.

Genuine question, what would Barton have to do or say in order for you to say "hang on, that's too much"? Evidently people are very split on what they consider to be acceptable behaviour in the press, but for Barton in particularly the line seems to be drawn in a different place, simply because of who Barton is? Maybe I'm wrong on that but it's my impression. I get the impression JB is a journalists dream, a classic case of leave a silence and he will fill it. Only after the event he probably thinks i should not of said that ! Barton and "think" don't seem to go together, if he thought about his actions he might be a far better individual. The worry is I can't recall him being so outspoken at Fleetwood, did their owner keep him more under control, just how far will he go before he faces an FA charge?

Amazing revisionism by Pirate who was the biggest advocate for Garner getting the job in the first place 😉 Had the foresight to change my mind though and admit my mistake. Then you supported Tisdale replacing Garner! Perhaps we should run a book on how long it'll take for you to accept you've made a mistake regarding Barton?

Backing Crystal Palace to bounce straight back after relegation from the top-flight must take some beating. They were relegated for a second successive season. Malcolm Allison; great character, good coach, abysmal manager. I hadn't realised his last managerial post was with you till I just looked him up.

Perhaps we should run a book on how long it'll take for you to accept you've made a mistake regarding Barton? Only because Tisdale fitted the so called "DNA" stuff the CEO was banging on about and has a record at developing young players. I presumed it was a long term appointment and not an 83 day appointment. If you look back at my posts previously you'll see I didn't want him here. gaschat.co.uk/post/604459

Luke Leahy rejected our offer? That is a bit of a surprise as we were told he was keen to stay..

Not surprised by Leahy after his interview. Deserves another go at L1 and why show any commitment to a manager that will call him out publicly if it suits him. Shame no chance for Tom Davies to prove his fitness. OVer to you now to sell this club to better players Joey!

Allison provided me with 3 of my favourite matches watching the Gas 1-1 v Villa @ Villa Prk, 1-0 to Rovers at Filbert St with a Channing screamer and I also think we beat City 3 or maybe even 4-0 at Twerton including another Channing goal. In fact I was so happy that I went and bought myself a sheepskin coat. UTG RIP Malcolm

Everyone is entitled to their opinion but we finished bottom of the league, and it is clear a massive overhaul was required, as Joey said we are not a charity and need to up our game.
It is sad to see anyone lose their job, but it us clearly evident we have under performed on so many levels, whether we will be successful is another thing based on recruitment, I hope we can be competitive next season and those of you that think HMS P#$$ the league is about to set sail are seriously deluded, we have shown no form all season and cannot score or defend.
I have purchased my season ticket and look forward to better times, but a cull was necessary.

Let's see how far the legal action goes then, my guess is not very far. Lol. Going into the season with only three first choice strikers and then failing to add to our attacking options in January, resulting in a club record amount of games without scoring and club record home defeats, with the worst goals scored stats in the last 15 minutes and joint worst goals conceded stats in the last 15 minutes, and then getting relegated, seems like not being careful or giving enough attention to people or things that are your responsibility to me. Doesn't explain why our form, admittedly never good before JB, fell off a cliff once he arrived and we sank like a stone to a humiliating bottom place. Either he's terrible at motivating a poor side (a bit like Holloway), or he didn't care about someone else's squad and ultimately just left them to it, after slagging them off to the press. I don't think either explanation reflects well on him. But as he says, it's all on him now, and next season will be the time to really judge him.
