Not concerned about any of the departing players , I only wish we could get rid of the lot them and start again , worst bunch of ‘players’ ever and I will never forget how sh** and uncommitted they all were

Blessing in disguise Leahy leaving. Good going forward, but couldn’t defend to save his life. Would love to know how many goals we conceded this season that came down the opposition right hand side. Not as many as we conceded down our right I suspect

No surprises there disappointed Luke Leahy is going odd regarding Koiki length of his contract thank god that waster Bennett is off the pay roll Think you will find Koiki was only given a short contract to prove his fitness after previous long spells on the injury list. As it turned out a wise decision by the club.

I'm surprised that twenty-three players from the season just ended remain on the books. Obviously it's hard to get rid of them if they are still under contract. Of course it is. Unless the player agrees to terminate the contract, you can't just kick them out of the club! No doubt plenty more will move on over the summer. I’m sure that a number of the contracted players will have been told they are unlikely to feature much next season and they are free to ask their agents to sound out interest from other clubs. We’ll probably see a few leave in those circumstances. Fingers crossed that the 3 or 4 signings we have close to completion do actually go through to get a bit of a ‘feel good factor’ back!

Worry is though a lot of the sh** shower are still here next season - Desperately need to move some out either on Loan or for free . Whoever signed off some of these contracts needs castrating!!

Happy with that list, equally not fussed with leahy leaving. Scored a few but was never comfortable defending.
Still a few more I'd like out if Joey can convince them to water off

If Barton wants to play a back 4 then thank god Leahy has gone.
Too many people getting carried away because he scored a few goals. Poor defender, poor crosser and judging by the way we went down with a whimper clearly not that inspirational as a leader.

Not particularly sorry to see any of them go. Leahy maybe a slight surprise, but I think we can attract a better defender than him anyway.

Leahy was never going to sign a contract. A goalscoring left back who was captain out of contract and looking at his salary why would he stay when he had a pile of crud on 5 times the wage he was on who couldn't even take a corner

Only have one left back !!!! need at least 3 more to come in. We have two. But will need an experienced one.

Davies is the one I am sorry to see go. Agree we can replace LL with a better defender, especially if playing a back 4. No point breaking the bank. We do need a captain to come in tho! Or maybe Anssi is capt next season? The contracted players may get put on the list, i would expect Ehmer and Baldwin to as they are bigger names and may attract interest (if they dont already have something lined up). Others I'd wait and see if anyone comes in or look to loan out any that arent likely to feature. Right - lets get some players in!

Not really sad to see any go. Would have thought about keeping Ogogo. As he’s probably more suited to league 2 and I think he could be effective at that level. But he’s been out injured anyway.
Surprised we didn’t make any player’s available for free transfer as well. Unless we are going to do that after.

I think it’s going to be very difficult to bounce back strong next year. The difficulty is how many areas of the pitch we are weak in, improving in one area is a lot easier to do than a whole squad overhaul.
When we last got relegated (to the National League), we actually had a pretty strong defence but were just poor going forward. We kept that defence together and just had to improve in the areas further up the pitch, which we did successfully to bounce straight back.
I think this summer is much tougher as I don’t know if we had any real strengths last season, JB’s got a very busy summer on his hands.

Need a whole new defence possibly including a keeper if he remains injury prone and goes on bench warning international jaunts AND a whole new attack. Now I am very nervous and think we will do well to be top half - that said every addition will hopefully make my outlook more positive.

23 contracted players left and 6 of those are u23 players who haven’t and won’t likely figure much. The 17 first team players left I expect to see minimum 5 move on and find new clubs. That would leave us 12 plus 6 youngsters, so room for 7-8 signings I reckon. On another note not sad to see any of those on the released list leave. Edit: sorry 24 with Martinez and 26 if Hulbert and Tomlinson sign new deals
