No. What I've said is in my post above. So you do think he is incosistant, as I do, yet when I said it you said I don't like the bloke. So you must not like the bloke then? Where did I say he's inconsistent? He scored goals that got us out of the conference. He scored goals that got us out of league 2. He's scoring goals that have got us 1 point off the playoffs in league 1. That seems pretty consistent to me.

LOL A real reasoned & educated reply. Ok, in more detail. So he's not Ricky Lambert. So what? We should only field 30 goal a season players? What relevance does Ricky Lambert's goal tally ten years ago have to what we're talking about now? If you want to compare goals per minutes played between the two I'd be interested to see how it compares. And how many goals has RL scored in the last three seasons? Is he inconsistent?

So you agree your measure of "consistency" is not one which can accurately assess the quality of a player. How's that goals per minutes played comparison coming along?

Gaz brought up Lambert and I asked what relevance he had to anything we were talking about. So quite the opposite to comparing them really.

O'Dear, putting words into other posters post's proves your desperate. You tell me about some goals per minute ratio, you want to know the answer that bad you find out. Google would be your best bet. Do you want me to tell you what words to use too? Ricky Lambert scored goals consistently, Ellis Harrison scores goals occasionally.

I didn't realise those were the rules. To be clear. Any mention of Lambert ten years ago is totally irrelevant to this thread.

Think he got 6 in his first season & about 15 in the second, in the last two seasons he hardly missed a game. Some would say Matty T scores consistently, that would be relevant in today's terms.

How many more times are you going to put words into my mouth? If I wanted to say that I would have, but I don't. Desperate times calls for desperate measures eh? It's such a shame that this forum, which started out originally as an andidote to all the bitterness of the past, has of late become a keyboard war, especially on a day like today.

to me ellis, danny leadbitter and ollie clarke are all similar in that they just keep on improving bit by bit and others are not far behind. its incredible how well the conference promotion team have improved as we have gone up the leagues. nobody can deny that ellis has played a big role in our success since our relegation and i was so pleased for him today as i think hes been unlucky not to have scored more goals this season. well done ellis
