Ellis Harrison - "There is still a lot more to come from me. It is all well and good to play well for one game, but the job for me is to do it more often. I have to make sure I can play to that level as consistently as I can"

DC said post match interview that the "penny has dropped" with Harrison
Not sure if that meant if DC now knows what makes him play well or if Harrison has had some sort of epiphany
Either way, without getting excited, it's nice to see Harrison and Bodin making a contribution to what had been the Taylor and Hartley show
All the loanees are back in their boxes and the core squad is now roaring again
Wind em up, let em go and get right behind them . We know they can do it .....this League barring the top couple of teams should present no barriers to an assault on the top six .....

A big test for Harrison and Rovers generally next week, as he's been mainly poor away from home when started and Rovers recent away form has also been poor. At least EH shouldn't now be lacking in confidence!

Do they drug test in league one?
If they do I hope they talked someone into watering in Ellis's cup for him.

Forgot to mention his aftermatch interview today. A real down to earth interview from a very modest amiable young man. Keep eating your weetabix Ellis! Agreed. I was in the Family Enclosure today and Ellis was the only player to come over and sign autographs after the pre match warm up was complete

Where did I say he's inconsistent? He scored goals that got us out of the conference. He scored goals that got us out of league 2. He's scoring goals that have got us 1 point off the playoffs in league 1. That seems pretty consistent to me. 29 goals in 3 1/2 seasons. Lambert scored nearly that many in one season, now that's consistant. When we got relegated I was one that wanted Ellis out of the club as it was clear that even tho he had talent, he also had an attitude problem. However... DC gave Ellis his chance. In the conference a still young Harrison scored many goals including his most important one for us at Wembley. Last year he scored a number of goals, but not as many as the year before but played a much more important role for our team.I also think this season mirrors last year for him. Ellis imho will never be the "superstar" striker for our club but as we progress, I truely believe that he can be a very important cog for us for years to come in the championship if we get there.

He spent more time on his feet this time rather than trying to get a penalty..great game but it's one good game on how many seasons!! It was well over due...and I hope I'm wrong thinking it won't last and it kick starts his career

Hope this spurs Ellis on now to recognise his full potential (copied and pasted from each of the past 4 seasons).
See you all again in 4 seasons with the same comment.

LOL, Getting desperate again. How many more times are you going to put words into my mouth? If I wanted to say that I would have, but I don't. Desperate times calls for desperate measures eh? Ricky Lambert scored goals consistently, Ellis Harrison scores goals occasionally. Ricky Lambert hasn't been a Rovers player for 8 years. silly boy

Wow what a superb performance by Ellis today.
He is definitely maturing. You can see that off and on the pitch. Against Chelsea earlier on in the season he was superb and glad to see him play outstanding again.
The key now for Ellis is definitely consistency, if he can find that then who knows how far he can go. Consistency is a big thing but he seems to be listening to the manager and experienced players now which can only stand him in good stead. Ellis's career could so easily have gone the other way but tonight more than ever I feel like he is going to make the most out of his always undoubted potential.

Todays effort was one of the best performances I have seen from a Rovers centre forward since I started watching them in 1957. I have no doubts about that, it was the complete performance and it was an honour to watch it. Been very critical of Ellis since he first broke into the team, don't expect to see that from him very often, but hopefully he can push on with the confidence gained from that and turn in more consistent performances from now on. A pity channel five is not on tonight for its watchers to see some fine goals from us today, not forgetting Billy Bobs goal of the season strike with his standing leg! UTG! Fair play for being honest Bideford, you can be quite brutal with your assessment of players especially if they have been below par. You can expect Ellis to be on the bench(if even in the squad) for the next match though!

I'm still convinced that wasn't really Ellis yesterday.

Interestingly, Harrison now has the same number of league appearances for Rovers as Rickie Lambert- 128.
