Agreed, makes sense for both parties.
I have a funny feeling that both Westbrooke and Hanlan will leave and be a success elsewhere, leaving us scratching our heads as to why they couldn't perform to the same level for us.

I hope we have a creative midfielder lined up to replace him.

There’s definitely a good player in Westbrooke somewhere, the last 3 managers failed to get the best out of him.

Brilliant news if somebody takes him, not cut out for men's football and our highest earner, it's a big if though.

Definitely best for both parties if Westbrooke moves on.
Probably been the biggest disappointment of all our signings last summer. Supposed to be a major coup but has very little impact when he plays and moments of quality have been few and far between.

Joey continues to clear out squad players who make no impact.

Agreed re: latter point. It feels hard to reconcile this sense from within the club we'll bounce back immediately and parting with players who have proven themselves in levels above ours. Not convinced it's the right decision myself.

Worst midfielder to ever play in the quarters. Only compliment I can give him is he turned up for kick off

Didn’t Westbrooke create the 2nd most chances in league one last season? No one to finish them off.
He’s a good player.

I’ve never seen a player take as many bad set pieces as Westbrooke. I remember a game last season where he put the ball out of play from 4 consecutive free kicks.
Sometimes things just don’t work out for players at certain clubs but to be fair to the likes of Hanlan, Ehmer, Daly, Ayunga, Westbrooke etc, it’s not exactly been the best time to be a rovers player, being part of a hopelessly unbalanced squad, under 3 managers.

He was brought in the create chances for our strikers but in his time here we haven't had any. Sadly it seems that we'll never get to see how good he could've been as seems we need to free up his wages to pay for a decent forward.

I hope we have a creative midfielder lined up to replace him. Do we not need to get rid of three players before there is room to bring one more in?

I have a frightening feeling that if no one is willing to match their salary they will stay !

I hope he finds a club before the window ends. This could leave us in an awkward position where he finds nowhere to go and we have to integrate him back into the squad despite Barton already calling him ‘surplus to requirements’. Could end up with another Bennett situation.
