Do you mean previous interviews were deluded nonsense, but today's was just nonsense? No the delusion was still there as he still went on about how weāre going to get promoted when we are in the relegation zone, but I agree with Aghast that it was restrained and self reflective this time around. Not listened to it, nor will I. The thought of Barton being in reflective mode, well, for me that's a stretch to far. Like all con men, he plays the audience of the moment.

I listened to his post match interview. His voice sounded shaky and I think I was detecting concerns for his job and his ability. Things are not going well for him, on and off of the pitch. I got the feeling he can't recover from this.
He has reduced our wage bill byĀ£800,000?, and recruited a disjointed bunch of players who are struggling to have any attacking ideas.
He still talks the talk, but can't walk the walk....
Not sure what new manager can do with this squad. Which is quite depressing!

Best we can hope for when that happens, not if -is to keep the position we have right now.Just stay up. This is about survival as a league club even at this early stage. Damage was done with BG, and JB has now had his chance and failed and made things million times worse.

The bottom line. If rovers sack Barton they HAVE no choice but to approach a currently serving manager. Has to be someone who has previously won promotion from this league. Forget the "who is available" as they are not going to be any good. Compensation will need to be paid. Its the only serious option if promotion is desired. Someone to firefight our way to survival, see off the expensive pensioners on 1 year contracts and build again will do me.

Better a probable death than a certain one. Stick with JB and we will be National League fodder next season. Twist, and we might be. What an absolute bin fire.

Not this again. Why is it not your Rovers when we're in the sh1t? It's someone else's Rovers when we're sh** (which let's face it is at least 90% of the time!). š If you don't understand the sentiment, I shouldn't waste my time trying to explain. However, I go every game, season ticket holder since 1993 continuous, supported since 1969. "I want my Rovers back" = a simple expression for wanting to watch players who give a sh**, having a good go and a competent manager leading them. Do you not want that too? Does this mean I don't go? No, I still go, it's still my club it's still my sh**, I always stay to the end and never leave early and no matter how crap, never boo. So, is that good enough for you? Not that I need your bloody endorsement whoever the hell you are.

Who has the right to slag off a supporter like your good self after following the club for so many years. Most of the muppets on here are young uneducated fans that think they have seen it all whilst only watching a mere 10 seasons of the Gas!

What have anybodies wife and kids got to do with anything? This is all your fault for not drinking the koolaid and not thinking positive enough you Dam rat. And to think of all that money we spent putting you on that leadership course. For SHAME. Ummm . . . Iām assuming that youāre unaware that the phrase about ādrinking the Kool-Aidā refers to the Jonestown massacre in 1978, where over 900 people died after being forced to drink āKool-Aidā (soft drink) that had been laced with cyanide . . .

In a perverse way I am quite looking forward to the Swindon game.
Must be the meeting of the two most disliked managers ever (even Dobson and Buckle made some decent signings and Grayson had a much much reduced wage bill and did bring in Rammell).
If Swindon win it would be great if Garner said something like how negligent you must be to lose to me. I'm sure JB would not be able to keep his cool and then he would react and be gone ( hopefully).

Unfortunately I think Garner is something Barton is not - I.e. professional. He will be very dignified regardless. If we do lose, I think Barton will get sent to the stands at some point. I can see him losing his sh*t and throwing his toys out the pram.

Although this season's scriptwriters have already shown to be wanting by not having Tom Nichols scoring the winner against us.

The Dunford's were the last decent owners of this club they would have never given Barton the time of day,if he was here when they took over he would have been suspended after the last charge. I had my doubts about all of the last three appointments and they have all turned out to be crap.Board in its present form is not fit for purpose.

Taking the politics of non Rovers activity out of it...
JAB idea of picking players and formations are sometimes baffling. We are going to play 3 at the back comewhat may, but sometimes during matches we aren't versatile or pro active enough to cope with opposition tactics to this.
This is a big factor in our defeats as we are poorly defending set pieces and flanks.
Everyone can see it, yet what JAB has monumentally failed to do is enamour himself to the fanbase by his post match comments. I was there yesterday, as I'm sure were you, we lost the first half and therefore the game, so there was a big gap between us and them, it wasn't close, and it's patronising to the paying fan to suggest otherwise.
The thing is, it'll happen again.
I thought it was great we started with 2 natural strikers yesterday..... imagine the dismay when there was little or no service to them because the natural flank/wingers were on the bench in favour of Grant!? I like JG, but wingman he certainly is not.....it didn't work, but I get a feeling it'll happen again.
JAB doesn't take responsibility in his post match interview, he alienates himself from the fanbase, and it's difficult to defend anything from yesterday's match, so I completely empathise with Sack Him Now o p..... because he isn't even being honest with the very people helping fund his job.

Don't Sack him!
Before anyone thinks I have lost my marbles, without full knowledge of employment law, if we sack him, don't we have to effectively pay him for the remainder of his con trick, sorry I meant contract.
If he was sent on gardening leave and then found guilty, can we not give him instant dismissal only paid to that point?
As we are so skint can't Bond take over for the rest of the season.

That scenario has relegation written all over it We need a half decent manager, a decent human being, Iād even support the hiring of a young successful manager from the lower leagues.

On the plus side if he whacks someone Wael will be able to sack him on the spot instead of waiting for a free pay off at court. This MUST be the reason weāre holding on to him.
