It doesn't matter what crap he spouts in the press or puts on the pitch, it seems like Wael is his biggest fanboy. The presser today is one of the most bizarre load of nonsense I've read in a while, almost as bad as the crap we have to endure on a matchday.

When was the last time a league club was relegated in October, particularly one not even in the relegation zone? Last year, Bristol Rovers FC, under Ben Garner. How we managed to stay out of the relegation spots at the start of the season I do not know. We were destined for relegation. Hahaha the first team to be relegated without losing to a team that was outside the top half of the table. The nonsense on here gets better and better.

I actually find talking up his playing career as “success we’ve never known” quite disrespectful. We’ve had a World Cup winner play for us and the captain of England as our manager who respected us more than this.
It’s all very very odd and worrying, if this is what he’s saying in public then I can only imagine what’s being said in private!

Yeah, completely classless, see also the way he was implicitly threatening us with Wael's money to stop the criticism.

This press conference has to be the biggest pile of crap in the long history of BRFC, is there no end to this man's delusion?. I've only read what has been quoted from it on here and that is shocking enough and has really watered me right off. I won't read the full article because I really can't put myself through it.

It's got to be a win tomorrow. Not a fan of Manager sackings, but seriously, 3 points or he's gotta go.

But Barton was a pretty successful footballer - nothing more, nothing less. And what he achieved as a player is completely and utterly irrelevant to how he performs as a manager.

“ I don’t earn any money out of it and I’m doing it because Wael Al-Qadi is a superb guy, a superb owner. Arguably the best owner I am likely to work with in my time in football.”
You can just see him feeding Wael all the criticism from the fans / others in the club to turn him against them, whilst Barton massages Wael’s ego.
Its almost like I imagine having a family member in an abusive relationship, and much as you try to make them see sense they can’t let go.

Is there any posters on here who still support JB, happy with his words today? Genuine question.

re the latest Bristol Post message from JB...From a JB Perspective, I can completely understand what he is "trying to say"...................However and a big BUT..... he is talking absolute nonsense. he seems to think because we are a lower tier football club fanbase we are 100% devoid of the world of football around us. If anything because of our much broader view of the league (looking upwards) EFL, and beyond we have a much better and probably more educated view anyway. Most Premiership supporters have NO IDEA of the broad picture of the leagues.= Blinkered!!
I hear all these stories as we all do, about "poor old Arsenal Supporters" and the latest is how Newcastle has had to put up with "this and that". For God's sake. walk around as a GASHEAD for a season and then see what the game is all about. Anyway, at least when we do have success (being positive) it will be very very and incredibly well earned!!!
But would I wish to swap our situation, to support a premier league? - Not really, I would however take the Championship as a good step up, it may take a while..... it will take a new manager along the way and even a new stadium .......
I also think the vast majority of Rovers fans realise we are very happy and fortunate we have Wael as our benefactor, so the very few who shout loudest are being noticed and should in fact be very grateful we have an owner who, whilst he is making mistakes in recruitment ( that's an easy one to identify), will learn I am sure and firstly and foremost is a real fan and his heart is in the right place.
So the one thing I do agree with JB on....is "to be VERY careful what you wish for" as far as Wael is concerned. Treat him with respect.
UTG .....................the very, very UNIQUE GAS.

"In my idealistic mindset, I thought I’d be great and come in and wave a magic wand, but in reality I know that not to be the case"
So why does he keep saying we will win promotion? This guy is deluded.

Almost trying to get us to feel sorry for him. The bloke's a manipulative, narcissistic, delusional pr*ck.
