I was able to sleep better last night, not just because the cough is abating but owing to another stroke of good fortune which eased my troubled mind. I confess that I was feeling the pressure; how to keep an unbeaten run going after the euphoria of the last two games.
I have been actively looking for another sign, but as yesterday drew to a close I became more and more despondent as none had been forthcoming. So, in desperation, I went into the garden with a torch in search of a four leafed clover, but as eve had departed it was a fruitless task. I briefly considered relieving next door’s rabbit of its left hind limb, but forcing the issue didn’t feel very lucky. So reluctantly I started to return to the house and then it happened. Fecal matter descended from the sky and hit me right on the shoulder. I was overjoyed!
So I needn’t have worried, and neither should the team. Anyway, Colchester’s defence has been suspect for quite some time; Claudius in 43, Boudicca in 61, Ivar the Boneless in 869 and Edward the Elder, King of Wessex in 917 with his Mercian allies (which probably included a few scousers). I am confident of another famous campaign victory tonight. UTG

Ivar would still get in our defence 😂
Will Ragnar be able to guide us to three points tonight, building on our recent momentum - that is the question!

2 big games this week against teams near us in the table.
I’d take another draw tonight.

The blue and white legion marches upon Camelodunum led by its (in)famouse general Josephus Bartonius. No quarter to be given. Total annihilation.

First we had a book of Ollieism's now Sqiffy is well on the way to compiling his/her own book of Sqiffyism's!, so good to read a matchday thread that leaves you with a smile on your face!, gives me so much confidence we will get a positive result that he/she can start composing the Newport one ! Come on Rovers!

Barton has at least started the match with a back 4 in the last few games although has changed the formation in game quite a lot and reverted back to the more risky "3 at the back"
Your guess is as good as mine for tonight but given its a wet and windy Tuesday under the lights I don't think this one will be pretty. Saunders is the legs that runs down all lost causes for the team but will miss through injury and if the pressing game is the way Joey wants us to play then I suspect Collins will be joined up the top with either Nicholson or Thomas but given our difficulties/injuries in the wingback space I wouldn't be surprised to see 4-2-3-1 and all that go out the window and pointless lump ball to Pitman once again.
I would like to see what a 4-1-4-1 with tricky/runners from midfield can do and balls into the channel (Not many tackles in that midfield though)
Belshaw Hoole Kilgour Taylor Harries Whelan Anderson Evans Nicholson Thomas Collins

To further our cause and in hand with Squiffy's excellent post, i can confirm the orb in the Red Eye of Ra tattooed on my forearm is glowing brighter this morning and i take this as a sign of greatness descending upon our team and in particular the God Barton is well blessed today
I predict a famous victory over the lesser mortals and we will return with the spoils of war
