i.e. not open to any of us that got so fed up with the antics of Ken and Jim that we didn't renew membership in protest!
Never mind. Green shoots of recovery in the SC.

The reports from this are definitely going to be fascinating if a few decide to speak up.
Are they choosing the Board Representative (s)?. Do we know who stood or is ready to be nodded in?

It’s time for the next generation to take the reigns and I hope they can dedicate as much time and energy as those that have gone before them to help the cause of what they believe in.
I truly hope that the current generation get to see the progressive FC that the previous generation always thought they would but have now all but given up on.

Agree.
It's a good chance for the moaners to put their money where their mouths are.
Ken, Jim and Phil spent years working unpaid and also made sizable investments/ donations out of their pockets.
Not saying any newbies have to do that, but they might find that with their hands and tongues tied, it may not be as easy to make the progress that they and other supporters want for the club.

it does mean that any new people who have joined to support the new regime cannot attend . Puzzling as you would think that they would want them to buy in and get involved

Puzzling as you would think that they would want them to buy in and get involved I suppose they're worried about troublemaking newbies showing up and rocking the boat. Which is more of a Chappellesque attitude from the old regime. I thought it was going to be different now, but maybe not. I'm not sure it's even strictly legal to prevent members attending an AGM. I'm sure shareholders wouldn't accept it.

Hasn't it always been the AGM representing the season before?
I seem to remember it was usually held earlier in the year (probably covid related delays this time) as a sort of review of the season/ financial position up to 30 June.
I can't imagine anyone who has joined this year and wasn't a member last year will be turfed out.

Anyone who is a current member would be eligible to attend. I don't think there is anything nefarious here but this thread does show that the SC may have a mountain to climb to undo some of the ill feeling and mistrust. I wish them luck.

Hope someone on here can do a post on what was said on the night ? Why? A lot of talk on here is about the way the FC is (badly) run. It is important to get the fans feelings known, so it is important that as many fans attend and a fans representative gets the right feedback to put to the board. There are very biased views for and against the SC. Reading one persons ( possibly skewed) review of the AGM could set the tone of Dave Thomas and the committee. Just look at this thread. Different viewpoints already. Surely it is better to attend, ask your own questions and make your own mind up?

Maybe so for those within easy travelling distance but many of us Gasheads live several hours drive away and so a written report would be preferable. If I lived locally I would definitely attend

Will the SC reps be voted for soon?
We need someone to get some basic common sense communication to the Board so they can try and sort out the tonnes of mess throughout the club, both on and off the field.
The Community Trust is miles ahead as the best thing about the club at the moment.
