6515 with 1031 Newport fans in attendance today.
So less than 5,500 Gas fans in the ground. That’s got to be a disappointment as far as the club is concerned.
I know we’ve had rough spells before where we’ve averaged similar, but what concerns me is that with COVID 19, three rubbish managers and an ever dilapidating stadium, some will never come back.
Can the club afford to have 3 or 4 years struggling in league two with crowds like these?
Edit: ignore the first bit 7515.

A lot are probably staying away because of JB.

A lot are probably staying away because of JB. Soon there will be about 5 people left in the ground and Rich will be pointing out he only hears positive things said about JB at the Mem 🙄

I didn’t go today. I have a season ticket and normally refuse to miss a game but when my other half suggested a few days away I didn’t object. I don’t like Barton. The football has been dull and even the wins have been hard work as a supporter. Having seen the result, the comments on here and the texts from my mate who went I think I made the better choice. While Barton remains in charge and things stay as they are I can see me missing more games without any guilt or sense of loss.

Wael will soon realise and hopefully do the right thing. Otherwise, next seasons budget will be a lot less to compensate.

I thought it was announced as 7515? Might be wrong as I was on the way out in a huff!

Ah ok my bad, someone might want to tell OTIB then as that’s genuinely the place I saw 6500 as I missed it at full time and couldn’t find it anywhere myself.

All things considered I think 7515 is a pretty reasonable attendance.
sh** form over the last 21 months without a break. Reluctance to come back with the pandemic not fully over. Boycotts owing to our sh** manager. Boycotts owing to our sh** management generally. Boycotts from those who’ve had enough of our facilities. Boycotts due to the quality of football. Fair weather supporters peeling away.
That sounds possibly really negative, but we’re still out in numbers. Colchester only managed 2,000 the other day. I didn’t think they were necessarily as well supported by us but that seemed like a really poor attendance. I thought they were better supported than that.

The best thing about that is that it was a Swindon fan that wrote it on there. 😂 This is how fake news can spread and cause problems 😭

Other than getting the turdheads all excited and distracted from their equally water poor form?

I think there was a bit of social commentary there from GGMI about how fake news can perpetuate enough to distort people’s opinions.

Our support is genuinely not as good as made out to be fair. Our away support is good - not incredible, but good. Home support has been awful, a city the size of Bristol we should be attracting more for league football. That said city don’t get gates as big as I’d expect either despite dwarfing ours.

I’ve said it before there is something really strange about that lot north of Junction 16. If anyone knows somebody from Swindon who appear to be semi- normal please share.
