i was one of the faithful 5000 at eastville in the 1967 until 1969 when the team were poor i never gave up,even now i wont every team has good times and bad times we are in the process of a rebuild you can moan about the stadium ,barton, but it takes time just get behind the team, like most of us do complaining about the manager because you dont like his past does not help! it just adds more pressure on the players stick with us we will come good up the gas!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1

Wait......A Swindon fan cosying up to our red friends. I’ve said it before there is something really strange about that lot north of Junction 16. If anyone knows somebody from Swindon who appear to be semi- normal please share. Paul Trollope. Billy Piper.

How the hell we can still manage to to attract 7500 people to probably the worlds worst stadium is a miracle and not something to be critical about

Our support is genuinely not as good as made out to be fair. Our away support is good - not incredible, but good. Home support has been awful, a city the size of Bristol we should be attracting more for league football. That said city don’t get gates as big as I’d expect either despite dwarfing ours. I'm sorry.Out of ANY BIG city club/ semi big town club in the UK and I include the mighty Newcastle Utd...we are the most uninvested, unsuccessful club out of them all.Port Vale,Stoke Bristol City, Notts county, the Sheffield clubs, Cardiff, Swansea, Plymouth, Portsmouth......Etc.. Etc.. All of them at some point in there history have have more success then us or investment in there clubs and development on there grounds etc. Until LAST season with the quarters we have never had any. We are a club playing at least one level, maybe two below our potential in terms of city size and fanbase potential. We have 3 sh** tents as stands yet whenever we are doing well we get 9-11k per week in L1/L2 and have taken 39k and 42k to our last two big finals in 2007.. and 30k to a non league final in 2015 - when I think it was Preston and Swindon took less fans than we did in there playoff finals in the championship and L1 respectfully that same season. We always are well supported away from home, but have not progressed during the history of our club so we will clearly lose some of our future fanbase with BCFC in a much better position then us. City are now doubling our gates due to the new Ashton Gate and championship footy/ landsdown.Dont forget those fuckers were getting 9k/12k in league one for 15/10 years before Gary Johnson got them to the championship around 2006/7. We as a fanbase just except that we are always going to be "Rag bag Rovers" from the Bath days and that holds us back. We have the most unfulfilled potential of any club from any of the Big city clubs in the UK. We have done, or have nothing to our name.

Do any of these 'swindonians' still live there or did they leave at the first opportunity? In the voice of Jeremy Clarkson 'Swindon. 'The biggest motorway service station..... in the world' (In fairness I did reside in the old town area for a few months many moons ago and it was alright)

No dig, he's right. Also agree that he doesn't appear to be the man to get us going. Our underachieving record over the past 30 years or so is a disgrace, but as Barton says, someone will get it right eventually. How long that will take is anyone's guess.

The attendance figures include ST holders and ticket holders not in attendance. It was never 7500 yesterday. There were loads of people who didn’t go. Out of my group, 7 ST holders didn’t attend.....

Over the last 50 years - Every 5 years we have a good season , every 10 years we get promoted, every 50 years we win the league. It’s what we do, just sit tight and get ready to clap and cheer.

He is the single worst part of BRFC, he is worse than the stadium, our league position and our players. It could be argued we are where we belong near the bottom of League 2 but he is positively Downs League at best and it all goes downhill from there, every time he opens his mouth.

You should know better than trusting One Turd In Bristol! Yep, I really should! Would be nice for the club to publish the numbers but I guess not. It was announced at the ground that the attendance was, roughly, 7,500 with 1050 away fans. I assume Sam Frost and co decide not to publish those figures rather than the club not releasing them. Apart from Swindon we had by far the biggest attendance in L2 yesterday, Port Vale had 2,000 less at their game.

With us being poor and Covid numbers going up I wouldn't be surprised to see numbers dip.
