The attendance figures include ST holders and ticket holders not in attendance. It was never 7500 yesterday. There were loads of people who didn’t go. Out of my group, 7 ST holders didn’t attend..... Another angle on this is I know people who didn't attend yesterday as they are worried about Covid and they are in the at risk category. Even though the attendance was about what you would expect for a league 2 game.

And I'm not sure if that's meant to be a "Barton out dig" but he is right in everything he has said about our fanbase and us underachieving. I just doubt he is the man to get us going. No dig, he's right. Also agree that he doesn't appear to be the man to get us going. Our underachieving record over the past 30 years or so is a disgrace, but as Barton says, someone will get it right eventually. How long that will take is anyone's guess. We won't achieve our potential until we sort out the mess behind the scenes and as a club start moving in a clear direction, and STAY in that direction. We need strategy and intelligent thinking at the top, and then that will work it's way down to the team, à la Brighton, Brentford, Luton, etc. Currently Wael had a fantasy of being another of those, but he doesn't have the right knowledge, skillset or personnel to adequately carry it out, and not only that, we are consistently making nonsensical incoherent decisions as a club. We're not even at par right now. While this remains the case, we will continue to flounder.

Did the behind the scenes issues effect results when DC and GC were our managers?

JB has been quoted in the last fortnight as saying there has been no communication between him and TW in months, and there is no opposition scout. True or not, if that doesn't highlight a red flag as to there being a chronic case of chaotic and poor leadership at this club, I don't know what does. If this type of stuff continues at our club, we have ZERO chance of reaching our potential, regardless of if we won yesterday.

I don't remember a time where I've seen so many arguments between fans on the terraces. It's getting to be a really nasty atmosphere.

I was surprised how well home gates have held up given dire performances of last season and this so far, add in the covid factor and some not happy in crowds as yet plus those staying away till Barton has left and I think crowd is bigger than expected. But that next generation of fans is being lost.

A real shame, I bought him up on away trips all over the country, was proud to put the quarters on him and follow the gas We will be in danger of losing a generation of fans if this circus continues WAKE UP WAEL AND DO THE RIGHT THING!!

So the crowd was about 100 MORE than when we played newport last at the Mem. A day off 6 years ago. Rovers were 13th on that occasion and Newport were 22nd. 1-4 final result.
Darrell clarkes team finished 3rd at the end of the season.

Jomo is Spot on.I fear for our future as we drift every further backwards both on and off the pitch. This is what he said.

Actually I was surprised yesterday at the amount of young people in the crowd. I had a good look around and the silver foxes (like me) were outnumbered.
I'm wondering if the older generation are the ones not turning up (Covid concerns?) and the younger crew are still there. No idea why, but it's good to see them.
