Same old rubbish being posted either Barton in or out. only interested on what is going on with the team. over the last few away games i have watched a marked improvement in the teams performances but sadly none at home and i do wonder if the team picking up the bad vibes coming from a small section of our home crowd At 2-1 we were on top for the first time in the game then Anderton gifted them a third goal and it was game over, was that really the fans fault?

I posted on this subject when Barton was first taken on. I was called all sorts of names, vilified and described as a traitor for saying that I had returned my season ticket in protest at his appointment. My reasons for refusing to support the club as long as Barton was in charge was for the sake of our young supporters who will come on board long after supporters like me have curled up our toes. I have been there for seventy years, through the old days at Eastville, the crazy days at Twerton and finally the triumphant return to Bristol. It is important to point out that the letter that my wife wrote to the CEO did not even receive a reply even though the letter was politely stating our reasons for our actions. Now we find ourselves in a most dangerous position in league 2, fighting for our future. Sorry, much as I love this club and everything it stands for, neither my wife or I will set foot in the Mem until Barton is gone. For someone who has supported this club for 70 years, it breaks my heart to have to do what I have chosen to do. Please don't have a go and call me names, just consider how people like me are feeling right now. I sent my ST back as well. I did receive a letter from Wael (took about 3 months to come and I had to pay £1.50 because he didn't put enough stamps on it!). I refuse to travel 100 miles and spend time at the Mem whilst he is there. Hopefully he won't be in the very near future.

Normally I’d agree with you Tilly. But I guess we’re in some pretty abnormal times. It’s important that people like smudge and meldrew post and get heard and perhaps they feel more likely to be heard in a new thread than an old one several pages long. I don’t know about others but smudge’s post certainly seemed very similar to how I feel. I hope and think we’re coming to the end of this chapter in our history. Each week gets worse and worse and WAQ will need to act very soon. UTG! Fair point, well made. Thank you for not resorting to sarcasm or typing in capitals to express yourself - very civilised. No problem. We’re all gasheads and I’ve been surprised at how polarising the last year has been. Best to keep some kind of perspective. It’s a game which I enjoy and a club I love, but it’s still only a game. UTG!

What difference does it make how many threads there are about Barton? He is currently the manager of our club over seeing one of the most disastrous periods in our clubs history - of course people are going to start threads about him quick tip You Don't have to read them no one is forcing you!!!! Not every member wants to read the endless Barton In / Barton Out dialogue. And that includes those who want him out, the dialogue gets tiring at points and some want to focus on some of the other going on regards the club. On the flip side for those who DO still want to have that discussion, having the conversation split across 15 different topics makes it a nightmare to follow with the same points being made left right and centre. And yeah, if people aren't posting threads as 'Barton In','Barton Out','Barton Shake it All About' and something vaguely titled like this then those who are sick to death of it keep coming across the same old conversations. I'm just trying to help keep this place as enjoyable place for all that it can and not a select minority. How hard is it to keep thoughts within two or three select themed topics? (Hint - it's not!) (For what it's worth - I'm sick to death of him, want him out, and have no issue with keeping on discussing the matter) Agreed but sorry to repeat myself, no one is forced to read any thread are they? If I click a thread and am not interested in the content I just click off of it. People should not dictate to others what threads to start or not - just ignore it if you don't want to read and get on with your life or choose another thread With regards to the second highlighted comment, that sir is an impossible task but I appreciate all the effort you and all the mods make

As you suggest, if it's a topic that doesn't interest me, then I'll skip on by.

I have been a keen gashead for 50 years plus. I have seen promotions relegations, been to Wembley watched rag bag Rovers at Bath, seen some good players and some shocking players. The time has come for me to take timeout! I am simply not enjoying watching our great club. We are mess all over, JB has been a disaster and I am fed up listening to the bollocks he talks. The football is dire, no tactics, no plan A or B. Club officials do not care and supporters numbers are dwindling. I know some of you will criticise me saying what kind of supporter am I , but until that fraud is gone I will not put a penny into this football club. No ifollow, no listening to radio, nothing! Trust me I have backed all types of managers and players over the years. Nobody has been more supportive than me. People talk about poor mental health! Watching this lot makes you feel lower than a snakes belly, no passion, no pride! Our pastimes are to enjoy not feel down trodden. JB do the right thing and get out of our club I know exactly how you feel because I feel the same. I spent over £400 on I follow last season and when the new season started I was there , and it was even worse than last season. Some how Barton has managed to create an even worse squad than the sh**e that Garner created. Or If they are good players then he’s certainly turning them in to poor players.. I left before even half time v orient I’ve never even left more than 10 minutes before the end of any game before that in 40 years. I said after it that I won’t be back until Barton has gone but did go Saturday and within 20 minutes massively regretted it. I feel no close connection with the club anymore the Rovers spirit is dead in me it’s a combination of a few things I think but the stand out ones are the fact that the football isn’t in the slightest bit entertaining, the manager is a tosser, the results have been dire for almost two years and another one , a big one for me is how the supporters were so down on Coughlan while he was here, a man who took over when we were bottom of league 1 took us to mid table and then pushing for promotion in the space of a year , the windging and complaining during the best spell for our club in decades pretty much hounded him out and our very nice but completely Dam clueless owner it appears listened to that and now has this f**ked up idea that we can be the Man City of the 4th division playing out from the back with our best attacking players as wing backs where as in actual fact all we do is give the opposition the ball so that they can tear us apart at Will.

I feel we need to get him out ASAP and get someone in who will go back to basics and make us solid. Like we did with Coughlan. Percentage football is the way forward at this level it doesn’t have to be hoof and hope just playing players in their correct positions and doing the simple things would be a massive improvement on the shower we’ve endured for the last 2 years.

Atmosphere before Swindon & Newport was good, what more can they want? We even went ahead Vs Swindon and the place was rocking. In most games this season we seem to be better in the 2nd half, which suggests to me that we have a manager who sets us up terribly and can’t motivate the team in advance.

Been watching Rovers since 1968. I’ve never boycotted my club, but after Saturday enough is enough. My season ticket won’t be used again until Barton has gone. I have serious concerns about our owner’s ability to oversee the management of our football club, as he’s made too many poor decisions with the wrong senior people advising him (and there have been enough of them since 2016). His next manager appointment will determine whether we can remain a league club or not. He needs to sort out the CEO situation pretty quickly as well. What a mess, and what a sad state of affairs for us supporters.

JB do the right thing and get out of our club We must be similar ages Smudge. I am closer to 60 than 50 and saw my first game in 1972. I still have a ST but I am in a total quandary. I love by football club (and in all honesty, family and friends don't get it, even some mates who no longer go). Our spirit has always been tested, but this time I think we have been pushed to breaking. From the move out of Bristol, we somehow galvanised from our heady days at Eastville and Gerry brought back hope. This continued and the return to Bristol was just the best feeling. We have had owners that have truly cared but couldn't deliver and some that should have been able to deliver but didn't. The opportunities when we bought the stadium feels like it has come and gone. Why not give us a new stand or even two. The vision was always beyond capabilities. I cannot think of any football league team that has not had an improvement in their ground, is it really 25 years? This shows the scant regard, we have always been taken for granted, but we have been very special supporters. I will still attend, it feels like a duty though. My mate and I said if Newport had scored a third before HT, we would leave and go to the pub to watch the cricket, and I don't even rate twenty20. Seriously unheard of for me. No advice from me, we will all make our own decisions but the loss of so many long standing true blue supports is staggering. I don't need premiership football, I want a decent ground (mem is fine with improvement's), to watch a team try to play and entertain me and something I can be proud of again. Something to cheer. A few ups and a few downs, plenty of Goodnight Irenes. The current management and ownership have let the principles go, of what we are all about.

I have attended every game this season bar one. Have left on three occasions during the first half. Not due to the result per se but the total lack of a gameplan from Joey. Joey has completely split the fanbase with some at Bradford even offering fellow gasheads outside for having the temerity to suggest that JB isnt a very good football manager. Time to go Joey... will Wael have the nuts to sack him? I still think not, what a mess!

Well he offered to walk for free after Swindon and we didn't take him up on his offer then... so I am not sure? It's very simple in my mind - I'm utterly convinced that Wael is suffering from complete denial. I think he knows what a disaster Garner and Tisdale were (I mean, who wouldn't) and the thought of being naïve enough to go "all in" on Barton, only to then have to sack him before the end of October is just something he cannot do. He's just hoping and praying for a miracle, so he can avoid the inevitable. A bit like a gambler chasing his losses. He needs to grow some balls, develop a backbone and do the right thing for this football club. He made his bed; now he needs to f**king well lie in it. RANK LEADERSHIP.
