Three wins in ten is no illusion. A first team defeat to Bath City is no illusion. First choice strikers unable to score in 270 minutes of football is no illusion. I thought we'd already established the Salisbury thing was a joke? I guess it's your choice to look at it that way. Bit sad IMO. To look at it what way? I only stated facts.

its a barbed joke though isnt it? Tell a joke where someone or something isn't the victim. Dude, no one gives a sh** about chickens, we eat millions of the poor buggers every year

I think another central midfielder is essential as last Saturday proved that if Mansell is out we have nobody who can control the midfield and the other two Sinclair and Clarke one goes missing by going everywhere and the other goes missing by going nowhere. Clarke is adequate as a Conference squad member. Creativity is badly missing from the midfield area. Maybe Monkhouse could do the job if he was played there as he is not a winger these days.

The problem is not the joke The problem is the people who want to get rid of Clarke , because they don't want Rovers to be successful I tell a joke mocking the perception that Clarke can only sign players he's already worked with. This becomes me wanting Clark out and my favourite football teamto be unsuccessful. f**k me lad.

Your original post was a response to mine where I talked about people not wanting to have a conversation about the true prospects of our team and manager - saying I shouldn't bring up the statistics relating to our recent performances illustrates my point perfectly.

"True prospects" is a matter of opinion. I guess you believe that the next few weeks will show DC up and we'll drop out of the playoffs?

Not to be confused with the people who want to get rid of Clarke because they DO want Rovers to be successful!
Just sayin'.......
How can you want Clarke out and want Rovers to be successful at the same time? For Clarke to be sacked he, and therefore by association Rovers, will have had to have failed. Same went for GoD and also of NH. You could argue that both have already failed of course.

I thought that Salisbury one weren't bad - people are just looking out to overreact. Something that always happens when people make jokes on a subject where there is a proper discussion to be had - the overreactors are the ones who don't want to have the conversation because they don't want their rosy illusion shattered. A bloke goes into a bar with a giraffe. After a heavy session for them both the giraffe collapses. The man goes to leave and the barman says "Hey, you can't leave that lyin' there". The man replies "It's not a lion, it's a giraffe" and leaves. what happened to the giraffe? was it ok?

Posters like you want to post facts highlighting some of our shortfalls but don't want to commit to a prediction just in case you're wrong.

Posters like you want to post facts highlighting some of our shortfalls but don't want to commit to a prediction just in case you're wrong. We can't score goals. I don't think that can see us in the play-offs for very long. Therefore my prediction, based on known quantities, is that unless we start scoring goals we won't be in the play-offs much longer. Since we could easily go fifth already based on games in hand of other sides. However, if circumstances change and we magically start scoring goals in the absence of the only creative player we've seen this season (LDV) then I'm sure we probably can maintain a place there. Your prediction isn't really based on anything that's actually happening more just what you reckon ... which is fine but I can't see it as being too realistic.

I'm basing it on our home form. 3 of the next 5 are home and Nuneaton away should be winnable. I admit there could be a fine line between drawing and winning those 3 home games but I'm optimistic and IMO that's a good way to be.

So who do you want as manager Darren Patterson? Dave Penney ? Stuart Campbell ? Paul Buckle ? Shaun North ? Mark McGhee ? John Ward ? this is the first time we have been competitive since Trollope was sacked. Yet we have (supporters) on the teams back ,from the first few minutes of games.
