Not sure if this is true …..but is he clear for the Cup game as it is a different competition from League games….🤔 This is my understanding.

Also, Whelan sending off: What the hell is he sliding in studs up for, on a booking, as Captain? He gave the ref opportunity. It could have cost us, he was lucky everyone rallied, but soft booking or not it was a reckless decision to take when there were other options. He didn’t go in studs up, it was a normal challenge and he withdrew the tackle half way through the slide. The Northampton player saw him coming and made sure he went over him. Like I said, it all happened in such slow motion it was a joke and never in a million years was it a booking.

The first booking was a 50/50 challenge. The Northampton player just screamed like a 2 year old who has just had his teddy taken off him. They were doing this all match. They have a history of play acting/gamesmanship/time wasting (even the ref had to warn their keeps first half time wasting....not the second half though?🤔). So why provoke it when you're on a booking? We have to be better than that. I didn’t think that was a booking either. Both dived in, the Northampton player came off second best. Whelan actually won the ball too.

Their manager moaning about the ref setting up our first goal. I didnt go to the game but ref doesnt seem anywhere near our players on the highlights and their players were all behind the ball?

He gave opportunity, joke or not, we are dealing with 4th division officials. Just don't give opportunity in this set of circumstances v opponents that play act at every opportunity.

Whelan very unfortunate. No intent whatsoever. He just couldn’t get out of the way because his momentum carried him through. Very well taken goal by Evans. Curious one, he is. Was playing with Alexander Arnold in the England u18s and his progress obviously stalled somewhere along the line, but he has so much quality at this level. I love how he can receive the ball with his back to goal and turn so comfortably in either direction. Really classy.

Harsh pen? (although I thought it was at time) Unfortunate for GW second yellow also? Both decisions were pathetic 😩

I think the second half of the season is gonna be very interesting. Sign a striker in jan? Who knows 👍🏽

Orient and Port Vale have been good the times ive seen them, but the rest are pretty meh. Bolton had half our current points total this time last season and finished 3 points behind the champs

Leyton orient game, I thought we gifted them goals, but they scored against the run of play.

What nonsense.
The ref blew for the free kick. The Northampton player tries to walk away with the ball and the ref stops it and kicks it 5 yards to our player. Hardly setting the goal up

Radio Bristol were saying that the first yellow was for dissent, stupid if so. Assumed it was a late decision on the tackle but perhaps not. The first booking was a 50/50 challenge. The Northampton player just screamed like a 2 year old who has just had his teddy taken off him. Didn't the free kick go to Rovers for the first yellow? So it must have been dissent.

Exactly why he shouldnt have done it on a yellow Yes, I do see your point but it was still unfortunate for a number of reasons. Ultimately it was a very slight misjudgement rather than anything cynical or dirty. I don’t think many refs would have booked him for that. Whelan has been around the block and back again so I’m pretty sure he’s one of the more street-smart footballers, especially at this level. Hopefully we will not miss him too much when he’s out.
