If we can pull off a win today it will complete a heck of a week! Will not be easy but we can do this , we must show the same spirit and determination which has been much in evidence recently and not go into the game thinking 'this will be easy', come on the Rovers OF Bristol ,get those 3 points and it confirms the new found optimism around the club!

Difficult selection for JB today that predicted team leaves us Anderton Nicholson Spence & Thomas who all could feel justifiably fed up at being left out, nice problem to have

Not an easy game today Tranmere always put up a good battle. What with the injury list and amount of high tempo minutes played this last few weeks there is bound to be moments of lack if energy / concentration.
I suspect a score draw today might be the outcome. As ever hoping for a good display and attitude. You never know we could even grab a win.

Anyone think Whelan's suspension was now a blessing in disguise? It has given another player a chance and keeps him fresh for today.

This. Keep him on the bench, he can be our Solksjaer!! You mean go on to manage the club to mediocrity? You're either 1) A Liverpool fan. Or 2) Very young. π

Hard to not be optimistic after Tuesday but I'm trying not to get too carried away. Tranmere are hard to beat, have the best defensive record in L1 or L2 and have only lost 1 of their last 6 away games. They also had a free week to prepare while we were involved in a gruelling 120 minute cup tie. I don't think this game will be anything like Tuesday's. I hope the fans stay patient and back the team throughout because I expect a tight, edgy battle, that's probably decided by 1 goal.
Evans to score the winner in the 77th minute. UTG!

I hope JB listened to Twenty Pence interviewing the Mellon this week as he gave a good insight into the background, recruitment and levels of expectation on the Wirral. In some ways they are very like us and he was also very confident that his team knew exactly how to neutralise our threats. So, I also see it as a tight game but Iβm hoping that there is enough belief in the twelfth man to spur the team on as itβs inevitable that there will be some nail biting moments.

Hopefully that goal in the week can release the shackles from Collins and he can now get that confidence to score a bucket load.
2-0 to the gas
