Thoroughly enjoyed that one. 2 mid table teams going for it. Had a bit of everything. Could have, should have taken all 3 but 2-2 fair enough. 6 months ago we'd have lost that with a headless chicken performance. Enjoying my Sunday. Agreed, except 6 weeks ago we'd have lost that. There's an emerging unity another squad and if we can keep our obvious starsike Evans, Finley, Nicholson etc, there's no reason why we can't make a proper go at promotion. Great fun yesterday. Not quite sure about promotion but with performances over the last few weeks, who knows.

Sloppy defending at times, and not ruthless finishing, however much better performances and atmosphere, augurs well for the future UTG

Sloppy defending at times, and not ruthless finishing, however much better performances and atmosphere, augurs well for the future UTG TRFC did a job on our defenders. Kilgour had to go off ,Harries was hobbling after being clouted and Taylor had a few periods of hobbling around after inaccurate challenges from the opposition. Grant being moved to the right opened the game up to them almost like they planned it...

Unlucky yesterday it was a little bit after the lord majors show but you still should have won it at the death. Bit worried about the keeper Belshaw dont know what he has been like since you bought him but he was poor for both the goals yesterday. Two tough games this week I think 3 points from the two games would be a good return as Salford seem to have turned a corner at the wrong for you but you look a far better team these days just need to keep it going. UTG Not sure Balshaw could have done anything about either goal. The main weakness was Anderton, he was turned far too easily for the first goal and was far too weak in the tackle leading to the corner for the second. Although not sure what Nicholson was doing at the death. Having looked at them again you are probably right I was a bit harsh

Why not just say don't you mean Anderson? Ok. Did you mean Anderson. And which of them are you blaming for the second goal? Just move on if you can't work that one out for yourself.

Topper what do you mean in Belshaw couldn’t do anything about either goal? The first I agree with completely.
But the 2nd is completely his fault. He has completely misjudged the ball, his space, his dive - well everything really. An absolute horror show

Disappointing not to get the win,had the clearer chances, but I thought the performance was a step up from the Northampton game.We now have a recognisable game plan, not farting about at the back and getting it forwards, mostly down the channels and getting the second balls a lot if they are cleared, then knocking it around a bit through the midfield and creating chances more often.Grant inadvertently laying on a good chance for them was the one time we tried it,he looked uncomfortable back there but has been a revelation at left wingback so fair play to the lad. The forwards, mostly Evans, also dropped back to flood the midfield at times and that was a big factor in picking up the 2 nd balls.I don’t know if Nicholson was just shagged out with all the chasing he does but he was 3 or 4 yards ahead of the defender when clean through in the 2 nd half but still couldn’t get a shot away,he seemed much quicker pace wise last season.Oh and the penalty incident,if you fall and push the ball 10 yards to your teammate you got to feel pretty blessed to not getting a penalty awarded against you,If a Rovers had been anywhere near him when he fell then the ref would surely have to give a spot kick.So still a good day,us a point nearer the play offs and the 82 two points nearer the drop.Lovely.
