The era of soulless bowls seems to be over, hopefully the FM has some designs that separate it from other new build stadiums. Was he your Uncle? Or was that just how you described him to your peers?

Obviously Tottenham's stadium is built on a far larger scale and to far greater cost then ours would ever be. However I quite like the idea of a steep bank on one side of the ground to become what the North terrace is now. Then two tiered stands at both sides then a modest sized away end / new south stand. Anywhere from 14,000 to 20,000 would do.
Corporate facilities including modern boxes, function rooms, offices for club management, maybe event space. We've got to take advantage of such a central location should this ever transpire and maximise the revenue from it.

I’ve been to the new Spurs stadium a few times. They have some great ideas around getting fans into the stadium before and after the match. Beer is cheap (for London) and it even has its own brewery!
Atmosphere is also great!!

On a more modest level, I quite like the look of Southend's proposed new 22,000 seater stadium, which, like ours, may never actually be built. But it has the look of four separate stands with seating and video screens in the corners.

Mate of mine big Chelsea fan but comes with me regularly to watch Rovers and envies us having the intimacy of following a smaller club. When I told him the news he said,'You told me about having a new ground over 20 years ago when I first started going to Rovers with you'. Have to say I share his scepticism sadly after so many failures but we can but dream.Don't think the club have announced anything officially yet!! What news ?

Who is the bloke on the bottom right, the only face showing, anyone know. I’m not sure , but that 8 feet tall pr1ck near the corner flag usually stands in front of me.

My basic wish list is as follows: The stadium to be completely enclosed. I do not want to be able to see views of central Bristol from between the stands. The interior and exterior of the stadium to be blue (and white). Design to be expandable (even if we start with a small capacity). All seater (I know there is a lot of support for safe standing but it's not for me). Fully enclosed concourse. All facilities within the stadium. I would also like us to embrace the pirate theme within the design. Agree with all those apart from at least one end as a standing zone .

Why would you prevent those supporters that wish to stand the opportunity to do so or do you just think that your preference should override other people's?

I’d add that the steep banked end ideally should be terraced. Minimum capacity 20,000k though .

We are a div 2 footy team. Dont see why we can’t build something like the thatchers End. Just make the steps longer so you can bolt on seats when we get to the Premiership.
