Suspect there might have been an agreement between TW and the club that he would stay on the payroll until he found work at another club. Anyway good luck to him in his new role.

He'll be managing Josh Barrett! Barrett gets a brace in his first game under TW. Their first win, after 8 straight defeats.

Geordie Tommy on Barrett...
“The guy is a talent,” said Widdrington.
“I have been connected with Josh indirectly for five or six years. I recruited him into Coventry City and I recruited him on to a permanent at Bristol Rovers.“
I thought the intelligentsia on here told us he was Garners signing?

What a quality gesture. Hopefully Widdrington can get him fully fit and firing on all cylinders, if he does that the lad should be far too good for that level. Good luck to them both.

If Timmy is claiming Barret as one of his signings how bad were the ones he won't own up to?

Garner sacked Tisdale sacked saying “I’m not a miracle worker” Tommy comes out defensively and says “the players are good enough” Barton says the players aren’t good enough. Garner goes on to be successful with another club. Barton gets a better squad together.
I think Tommy W has a lot to answer for.

Garner goes on to be successful with another club. Barton gets a better squad together. I think Tommy W has a lot to answer for. Yes, I think I agree with a lot of that, it’s factually correct. Barton has got a better squad together although it’s in the league below so a lower calibre of player may appear to do better and the 16th place atm is hardly a ringing endorsement for this squad. But the football is better from the matches I’ve seen but... Not sure that it’s all down to Tommy W tbh. The matches Tommy managed us his squad did alright. Not sure Garner being sacked was down to Tommy W. Where we are is more down to WAQ who changed the direction of the club when appointing BG after GC and then did a quick u-turn after BG and Tis failed and he appointed JB. Yes, TW takes his share of the blame perhaps but so should others. WAQ is the owner so he can decide what direction the club moves in, that is his right, and after his very generous gesture during lockdown he has rightly been applauded. But he has to take his share of the responsibility for what’s happened. He may well have been let down by some of the people he’s appointed but it shouldn’t mask the poor decisions made. And people do love a scapegoat which TW seems to have become. But I know that few people on here will agree with that! 😉 Sorry goa, that’s not aimed at you because you’re said it more or less how it appears. But TW does get an unfair share of the blame imo. UTG!

Did Tommy W sign the players or pass a list to the then manager? Always thought it was the latter.
