Its £39m over 3 years I believe although not sure what dispensations there are because of Covid Surely this has blown the £39m out of the water then? Would be interested to see what leeway clubs are given due to Covid, if anyone knows it From what I can tell for the relevant season, clubs can eliminate certain covid related costs from the FFP figures. So of that loss for example City might be able to claim/exclude £5m Seems a grey area though of what can be claimed/excluded and what clubs have to prove

Posters on the OTIB claim they are OK for the 3 year period ending this season/year, but could be in trouble going forward if they don't drastically cut their wage bill/outgoings.

Looks like Bristol Sport Soccer franchise are on the verge of having to lie about their income/expenditure like every other club in the Championship then. I have zero faith that any of them are playing by the rules.

I thought rich owners could get around financial restrictions so long as they can demonstrate that some of the money they are putting in is a ‘gift’ with no strings attached? May have misunderstood that though.

May have misunderstood that though. Forget what I’ve just posted - just realised we are talking about size of losses rather than ‘investment’

Could we be looking at Bristol City PLC 2022? They'll have to redisign the badge again 🙄

With losses like that I would imagine they may have breached the EFL’s profitability & sustainability rules.

Football really is dead isn’t it. The amount you have to spend just to be a sh*t championship team is astounding. Youv only got to see the likes of Rotherham , Peterborough yo yo ing every other year. It’s almost like the prem to Championship now championship to League one. I struggle to see the enjoyment with football anymore above league one.

With respect, how do you know that Wael’s fortune is “dwindling”? If he's running the finances at his Dad's bank as well as the Club's then his fortune must surely be dwindling?

I never went when we actually borrowed their ground, and I didn't want us to ever buy it,totally wrong location for us and the locals surely wouldn't be welcoming, certainly not their numptys

City are miles ahead of us and have the structure and personnel to stay there. We should accept where we are and if Wael can inject enough cash to keep us going - that is fine by me. I feel for Wael if he tries to compete with City because that is all about pride. We do not need that - just enough guts to keep going. We are in a competition - but not with City! Go Wael, Go

It is in the wrong place for us but would have bought us time and given us funding for a new one elsewhere. All in the past now.
