Well that’s how you play crap and win - which in my book is promotion form. Ok we aren’t talking promotion quite yet unless you are JB of course but we can think about kicking on now and considering the play-offs now we have a bigger squad in the reckoning.
So next 3 games - what do you reckon. Swindon Away Scunthorpe Away Walsall home
How about 6 points

Oh against Swindon would be tidy.

A win is always good no matter how you play but we've got to be much better to have any chance of the getting anywhere near the play offs. Happy with the win but still not convinced with Barton.

Well, Rovers managed to win despite a very poor performance. Hartlepool must be bitterly disappointed! Still, if we can win with that display the tide must really be turning. Not so sure a below performance will be sufficient for three points at Swindon. I still think a mid-table finish is most likely.

To get in the playoffs I reckon we’ll need at least 74 points. We have 29 points from 22 games so far . So….. we need at least 45 points from 24 games, 1.875 points a game need or 5..625 points from these 3 games !
Or to put it simply , 15 wins from 24 games left . A tough ask .

All the clubs we are playing are below us in the six game form table. Games that promotion candidates would expect to win. I’m sure the dressing room will believe that we can win these three games.
It’s realistic to expect us to get six points from the Walsall and Scunthorpe games. Of course, we expect that. The chair expects that and we can be sure the manager will expect the same.
Can we build on todays result and win at Swindon? Could be a difficult away game but I feel with another week on the grass we can be confident of victory.
Win these three games, our games in hand and potential new signings ready to shine will be there or there about for the promotion spot.
Once a few more depart it’s clear we have a great bunch of lads We can build our winning mentality in the next three games and when we do that will develop confidence that we are witnessing something very special.
This team keep going till the end. Much fitter than last year and clearly are looking up the table. Exciting hopeful times.
Like many, I’ll be at Scunthorpe and hope we all see enough to believe again in the potential of the ground-breaking bus getting to play offs and keeping all our hopes alive.
It’s the hope that kills you and right now so many of us have it in abundance. Exciting times ahead.
Nine points very possible. Bring it on.

We were totally outplayed by Swindon. Have we improved that much- I doubt it - or have they got much worse - possibly, although they won well yesterday. My main concern is that JB was totally out-thought last time; they pressed, we didn't. Collins, rather than Pitman, should help, but we need to compete much more in midfield. Onwards and upwards.

Yes, agree with all of that. 6 out of 9 from the next 3 sounds good but we need to take points from Swindon and Walsall because they are around us and if Swindon won it would mean them stretching their lead on us. We’ve got to claw back points from teams above us to stand a chance of the play offs. So if we got points against them then we should be aiming for 7 or even 9 points depending on the Swindon result. In the end we concentrate on the next match all the time, aim to win and move on. UTG!

It’s time to put up or shut up as we’re running out of games left . We need to gun on a good run starting now ( yesterday! ) .

We are so far off the pace now nothing less than seven points will do. Three of those points need to come from Swindle as they are one we need to catch. Tough ask, but really that’s the sort of form we need to get into the top seven from where we are.

Game of opinions.I thought Swindon were the best side I’ve seen at the mem this season and absolutely battered us all game. Being 1-0 up at half time was unbelievably flattering. We are a much better/ tougher side to beat now but will still be a very difficult game Saturday and I’d take a point if offered it now.

The thing in our favour re: Swindon is the difference between their home and away form. Of the 40 points they have 26 have been gained away from home and only 14 at home. They are 18th in the home-form table!

They are 18th in the home-form table! swindon wont have the luxury of passing the ball along their back line and drawing our midfield out of position this time. Pitman up there pressing on his own was never a good look.
