Class signing that, was bossing the midfield for league one playoff finalists Shrewsbury a few seasons ago. Knows Brown and Rodman from his time there so should settle in.
Welcome Jon!

Proven to be a quality player, coming back from a cruciate ligament injury is fraught with danger so a risk for us no doubt.Contract length known yet?

Wow! Wasn't expecting that. A Brucie Bonus.
Would have liked Camps but I have to say Midfield is looking very strong now.
Wouldn't be surprised if we don't move for Camps in the summer when he'll be available on a free. Reports suggest he wanted to come but Fleetwood weren't prepared to lose him after selling their other midfielder to Sunderland.
Coutts Whelan Grant Finley Nolan Evans Anderson (Newcastle) Spence
Not counting players that play mainly out wide - Nicholson, Thomas, Anderson (Lincoln), Rodman - it looks like we have 8 fighting for 3 spots. However, I guess Evans, Anderson (Newcastle), and Spence could play wide in an attacking three.

See heβs had his injury problems and just come back from injury so maybe a few weeks before up to speed ! But great competition for places now especially across the middle and a bit further on behind the front line!

The signing of E Anderson seems even odder now as where does he fit in if it's not to replace Finley when he's out injured/suspended, I assume just playing the odd 10 mins here and there if Evans stays fit. Spence may as well pack up his belongings and add back to Palace.

Nigel Martyn was a midfielder in his teen years, half decent between the sticks. Ian Alexander faced one penalty...... and saved it. (We still lost though)

Grants now seen as full back and Spence is a wide player so it's 6 fighting for 3 spots, unless JB also sees E Anderson as a wide player to replace Nicholson/wake him up given he's been fairly average lately. We now seem to have two players fighting for every position in the side, not too long ago we had a bench full of kids!

I thought I read somewhere JB was looking to sign a full back to free up Grant to play more in midfield.
There were reports we missed out on a guy from Wigan.
However, I think this might work out better. Grant has been very good at full back so I'm more than happy to see him carry on there.
Spence has hardly played and his chances are likely to be few and far between now. So as you say 6 fighting for 3 spots. A nice problem to have.
