It's great to read all this. There are definitely many positives about the club these days and well done to all concerned. It is possible to say this and also recognise that not everything is positive. The two are not mutually exclusive.

Yes we have come a long was from the Dunfords saving every penny approach to keep the club alive, to the improvements we are seeing now with Wael's bottomless pit of cash helping propel the club into the 20th century.
I just hope he has a spare £2-3 mill a year for the next 20 odd years to cover the annual losses! And I hope his kids are all Gasheads go follow suit.
The fans who returned from Twerton put their hands in their own pockets with the 50/50 and the sharescheme. I just don't see the next few generations doing that. (The 50/50 prizes are massively down since covid - although a number of reasons for that). So we have to rely on Wael and family.
The fact that he is still here and giving JB and TG free reign to hire and fire to improve the club is a massive positive.

How do you think Mansfield can employ Clough and a team of high wage earners, it's certainly not from attendance money etc, football seems to live in different world to most other businesses with there owners are happy to run up massive annual losses. Mansfield and FGR are classic examples, as if they get promoted their respective owners will have to then spend even more next season if they want to survive in L1.

On the 50/50 sales being down , I know from my point of view I haven’t bought one in recent visits only for the reason I hardly carry cash on me these days . Is it possible to pay by card or should we look into making that an option?

I don't think we got any financial award from our last promotion, just increased TV money the following season which probably soon disappeared on the playing budget.

They don’t hand out a cheque 😮 As a non winner but a buyer of bloody hundreds of tickets over the years I just assumed they gave the winner a cheque, not a bag full of £1 coins 😂

Communication from the top improving all the time 👏👏 I posted this on the thread “Is there something wrong....”: Probably not a popular answer in view of everyone else’s pov but in the case of balance.... I’m sure there isn’t something going wrong behind the scenes (well, no more than normal!) but the club is changing with a new CEO and what appears to be a greater out-sourcing of services compared to the past. Lots of posters have mentioned that stuff the club used to do are now being done by outside companies. And when on another thread someone asked a question they received a reply suggesting they contact a club employee who had ceased working for Rovers months before! So contact details are not always clear. Just looking at the website and the contact button, it’s just a general email query, no name, no telephone number. Change, perhaps for the better, is happening at the club and that may be creating some kind of hiatus in the meantime, albeit short term.I’ve only ever contacted Clare in the ticket office who was brilliant but haven’t done so for nearly two years so unsure if she’s still there. I’ve contacted Tom Gorringe by email and received a reply within 48 hours. So I’ve no complaints. But poorblue is having problems contacting or getting a response from the club. I can imagine if the query is more complex it may be very frustrating. I hope he manages to get it dealt with. And I can understand if he didn’t want to share the query, not everyone does. UTG! Have just seen what the Equaliser has posted from the programme on Saturday. Well done Tom, you answered my concern. I am happy to eat humble pie over this. Very clear details of who is responsible for what even if contact details not included. Would be good to have this included on the club’s website perhaps, but a big step forward. Another positive. UTG!

I agree warehamgas, it's good to have an update of who is doing what, now that everything is in place regarding leadership of the various departments. A lovely touch to plant Audrey's Forget-Me-Nots at The Quarters.
