Watching big match from the 70s and phil neal was taking a penalty for liverpool. He never seemed to miss. Who would have been our king pin in this field. Holloway and stewart always gave me confidence when stepping up to the spot

Remember Ollie and Stewart were pretty consistent but Ollie missed a crucial pen at City after Devon been fouled by Andy leaning, leaning guessed right but it was a poor pen .Stewart most vivid and first pen away Tranmere on only I think second appearance slotting in Top corner , 2-2 . Besides penalties Stewart best finisher by a mile Iv seen in 30 yrs watching The Gas. Class act . Natural goal scorer.

Junior was pretty handy from 12 yards as was Wayne Carlisle around a similar time.
Going further back you would rarely be anything other than confident when Holloway stepped up.

Lambo was the one that popped into my head immediately. Although Stewy and Walker I agree with others were good penalty takers.
Manse definitely the biggest hero of them all!

He was actually going for the opposite corner but he completely mis-hit it! That’s what it looked like but I assumed he was doing that on purpose to fool the GK. Do you know this from LB? Is that what he said?

You beat me to it, isn't there an iconic photo of him scoring with the Tote End and Hofmeister sign in the background?

King Rickie only missed one for us so I believe? Leicester home I think ,Mark Bunn saved it I reckon towards at Thatcher’s end. ? This is correct I remember it well, the ball got stuck between his legs right on the line so a bit jammy for the goalie! A certain Mr Evans seems to be slotting them away quite nicely at the moment too, I hope I haven’t put the mockers in him now though 😱. Billy Bob took some nice pens too, but Lambo was the king for me and he also had an incredible record for the Saints. Edit: I’ve just looked it up , he scored 34 out of 34 for the Saints :gulp!: Then he missed his first pen for Liverpool in a friendly against Milan, what a waster!😂.
