I suffered with this condition for around 40 years before it was finally diagnosed. For no apparent reason heartbeat would go from normal to around 180 beats per min, it would last from a few seconds to a few minutes, then it was like driving a car in 6th gear and suddenly shifting into first gear as the heart went back into normal. Finally had the procedure in 2003 - you stay awake, whist they perform an electrophysiology study of the electrical pathways, by inserting a wire through the groin up to the surface of the heart - that took about 3 hours, then they decided to freeze to abnormal pathways but couldn’t get the problem to stop, it took over 7 hours in total & I remember every minute. Was due to stay in overnight but the issue happened again during the night & into the following morning so they took me down again Following day & did it again, this time using radio waves to burn the effected pathways, this time had a good sedative, I was there for 3 hours but only remember 30 min. Thankfully (he says touching wood) not had the issue since. Not the most pleasant procedure as you are awake, and the fact it didn’t work first time, but open heart surgery it ain’t. Apart from normal risks with any procedure like that, if the affected pathways are close to the AV node, which controls the electrical workings, then that could be effected and could cause you to have a pacemaker fitted. Luckily for me, again this didn’t happen. UTG They can do two things, one is oblation and the other is called an angioplasty. I have atrial fibrillation, very similar thing but mine was happening every single morning. Had the two things done but didn’t work too well so was put on beta blockers. I then had a procedure where the give you and injection to stop the heart then another to restart it and that did the job to date. Very odd sensation and the one or two seconds where your heart stops, feels like its mega slow motion and you get a really metallic taste in your mouth. He will be fine, the fitter you are, the less risk it carries.

A possible bit of hope for us getting Taylor back next season. Sounds like Stoke are close to signing Aden Flint, so perhaps their CB options allow for Taylor to have a year experience in league 1. I’d prefer Taylor to Flint. Always thought Flint was like a Giraffe on stilts Let’s hope Stoke don’t feel the same. Would love Connor here next year.

I think it will open the door, but I think Stoke will want to take a good look at him in pre season first, including in the game against us.
Once that’s happened I’m relatively confident that he’ll rejoin us on loan. Stoke have been good at loaning their players out multiple times to clubs where they get game time. Souttar was loaned out twice to Fleetwood and Sweeney loaned out twice to us.

They might want Taylor to play alongside him? Never know. Although they would be lacking a bit of pace.
He's still only 20. If I was Stoke, let him prove himself in league one for a season. We offer to pay all his wages and then jobs a good un 😉

If I was stoke, I’d have used Taylor as cover and sacked off signing Flint.
Bet flint commands a good wage,m. If you haven’t guessed Flont isn’t my cup of tea, suppose he does score a few but I’d rather leave the scoring to my forwards

You would rather our defence not chip in to our goals for tally. The mind boggles

That would be a simple question to start with, don’t be nervous there’s no right or wrong answer it’s just an opinion

I think they would do really well in L1 next season. Just my opinion.

Aden Flint has been a solid Championship performer for several clubs. So let’s be honest he would walk into our team and most League 1 clubs. That he has stayed in the Championship with a team looking at challenging tells me he is still a very good player. I will be very happy to see Connor Taylor in the quarters next season whoever Stoke City sign.
UTG!

Completely agree, hes established at Championship level, scores goals, and is a presence that could dominate many forwards and influence our "young defenders" at L1 level also he is settled in the area. Think his playing style is really limited and now at 32 if he was going higher he would have done so by now. He's had some injuries and his best days are behind him. I would be surprised to see Stoke challenging with him at the back.

Stoke just signed Harry Clarke from Arsenal on a season long loan.
Another defender so hopefully Connor does become available for us again.

That's a strange one unless they have already made a decision on Connor Taylor. The fact that there are no Gas rumours about central defenders - when on the face of it we seem very short - suggests that maybe something is going on behind the scenes .

That seems to virtually confirm Taylor won't be in Stoke's first team squad next season? Although a jump from L1 to Championship squad regular always seemed a big jump, surely if he's being sent out on loan to L1 club we must be favourites/we shouldn't have to wait long from him to join us this summer?

Was on Instagram story. Not there anymore! He did have a Jubilee family bash with a Gas promotion cake etc on display, probably more than most Gasheads did!
