Great two weeks that has given a good chance of play offs at least. Hard to believe but this team has now added some match management to their great spirit. Now we concentrate on Exeter home, then Barrow....then Newport. I’ve loved that in the last 4 matches we’ve been the better team but have been able to manage wins when earlier we couldn’t. Hope Anderton and Elliot A aren’t too badly injured but if they are carrying injuries then best not to risk them although the Exeter match is important. Don’t want to feel any match is easier than others but Barrow might be the match to give Thomas and Loft a run out and save some very tired players. Whatever, just concentrate on the next match and then move on.
UTG!

Definitely one match a time, and a point in the next one will keep things on a good track, but looking up...
Tranmere look the most likely to drop out the top 3 Sutton maybe the most at risk in the top 7 But a LOT of teams competing for the spaces, some with games in hand on us now.
Keep it going, take care of our results and enjoy the ride!

13 to go, you never know...
Still a big ask, but another couple of wins and it'll seem more real.
The play offs would be an achievement from where we were back in October/November.

Sneak into 3rd on the last day of the season with a win against a already relegated team (Scunthorpe) and someone else dropping points at home
It’s happened before people , who’s to say it could not happen again 🔵⚪️🔵⚪️ UTG

10 teams (maybe 11) all with decent shot at the 2nd-7th places. How we react to the next defeat if and when it comes will determine if we are scrapping for 7th or the one to bet on for top 3!

Just looked at final 13 games, draw the difficult ones and win the rest I have us finishing on 82 points.

This Saturday / Tuesday / Saturday /Tuesday run is bound to catch up with them at some point. We will lose against an easy team at some point. I thought they looked very leggy last night considering the about of possession. It's about squad rotation now. Get that right & the autos are defo on.
The Squad is good enough to win against every team left.

Please dont get carried away. Take one game at a time Haha I was joking. In truth I think it’s way too easy to just say draw all the tough games and win the rest. Newport Saturday will be a real real test, for example. We’re bound to lose 3+ games in the remaining 13

We’re bound to lose 3+ games in the remaining 13 I wanted to see Nolan play last night and save others for Saturday, also Luke Thomas looked very good recently. There is no one to fear why can t we do a Man city and Liverpool and win mostly and draw occasionally. We have some quality players, with a decent bench to make changes, and need to seize this opportunity. 13 fences to go we need to be riding off the Bridle to win this Gold cup!

Both came from FGRs as well and struggled for goals early on.

Not a big ask in my opinion. FGR probably have enough points in the bank to stumble into the auto places even with a dip in form. Exeter have 3 games in hand on Northampton and Tranmere and I would guess will also move into the auto places. That leaves the final place for the Gas. Our biggest rivals may be Mansfield rather than Tranmere or Northants who I feel will fall way, but I feel we have more strength in depth for the run in. Plus JB promised us promotion so lets not mess around with play-offs.

Friday night Mansfield v Exeter and sat Northampton v Tranmere . Assuming we can get a win at Newport ( big ask ! ) I’m guessing a draw in both these games would be the most beneficial?

I'd take a Mansfield win just to stop Exeter's run of impressive results, the other one bound to be s draw the way their results have both been going lately. As far as FGR they still need 20+pts from their remaining 13 games so won't make the top 3 just drawing games and have only picked up 2 pts from their last 4 games, they now have to play at form team Salford which looks like another game they won't win.

I just hope the players are not knackered and injuries mounting up for the final half-dozen matches of the season!

I just hope the players are not knackered and injuries mounting up for the final half-dozen matches of the season! They've probably got less injuries than at any time of the season, only Kilgour looks like he'll stay be out for any length of time. But why let the facts get in the way of yet another negative post?
