I am not expert but I expect he mean bigger than our average, that's how I took it anyway

This has been a strange match thread. One of our biggest matches of the season, a sell-out, yet only 11 pages. So far. A goodish performance against a top team esp when we’re on a good run. Is it just me or is this surprising?
UTG!

We can't bring on Clarke now as we would have to sub off Loft. Still not sure why Loft was brought on. We've been playing with 10 men since Loft came on. Shyte and Lazy I can’t understand why, on several occasions, our midfield players had plenty of time and space to push forward but passed it back or sideways. Very frustrating to see that. I don’t know why but it seems that each time we have had a bigger crowd, we flatter to deceive

Decent game and advert for League 2 football…. Draw a fair result considering that terrible miss and them hitting the post but we had 2 strong shouts for penalties waved away… Thought the ref was poor - seemed to give lots of soft fouls for them and nothing for us generally… Really good to see a packed Mem and the atmosphere was really good. Fanzone seems to be getting better and better - band was decent and a good crowd…. Only disappointment is my daughter losing her 100% win record but she’s still on a 100% unbeaten run (5 games now!) and Belly signed her shirt so she’s made up and still has the gas bug! Onto Barrow Tues and hopefully coming back with the 3 points Funny how we all see and hear things differently, maybe because i don’t drink at the ground that i miss this atmosphere ? I thought the thatchers end was quiet, for long periods.

Know what you mean, think it is a case of we didn't win so no 'we are going up, get the bus out fun and we didn't lose so no JB out, we've blown it stuff either ,just 'its ok ' on we go.

I agree nerves play a part but although I only manage to get to one or two home games a season, I have noticed that the loudest the Thatchers gets tends to be before the game. The excitement builds but at the same time, voices are being drowned out by the tannoy and all the vocal effort is not being rewarded. It happens away as well- at Swindon, the efforts in the stand were huge but all I could hear was a terrible, tinny, screeching tannoy playing irrelevant and unnecessary music. By the time the game started, I think a lot of people were either hoarse, deaf or both. If singing really makes a difference, and I like to join in most chants, why dont we save all the effort for when it really matters? During the game and at crucial moments- instead, it all seems a bit flat once the game starts.

It was unnervingly quiet at times. This is not an isolated incident as i have noticed it when we have larger crowds. We seem to be loudest when we are in the high 6000’s. I think it does pass onto the players too
