When they applied to join the NW Counties league they did so on the understanding they would pay the visiting teams expenses for two seasons. They are in div one South but their Prem' Div now includes Macclesfield and Bury.Clubs fly the very short journey from Liverpool or Manchester. They have a very wealthy owner!!!!!!

Decent game and advert for League 2 football…. Draw a fair result considering that terrible miss and them hitting the post but we had 2 strong shouts for penalties waved away… Thought the ref was poor - seemed to give lots of soft fouls for them and nothing for us generally… Really good to see a packed Mem and the atmosphere was really good. Fanzone seems to be getting better and better - band was decent and a good crowd…. Only disappointment is my daughter losing her 100% win record but she’s still on a 100% unbeaten run (5 games now!) and Belly signed her shirt so she’s made up and still has the gas bug! Onto Barrow Tues and hopefully coming back with the 3 points Funny how we all see and hear things differently, maybe because i don’t drink at the ground that i miss this atmosphere ? I thought the thatchers end was quiet, for long periods. Not sure - agree there were some quiet periods but I was up in the Poplar stand and you could really hear the noise up there …. Pre match and especially times when we were in the ascendancy or where decisions were going against us (quite often) , you could feel and here the chanting and noise etc…

I think we are loudest when less expectant. The loudest i heard the thatchers was v city some years ago, when Lambert scored the winner

I wouldn't fancy Rover's chances against Exeter in the playoffs! Neither will be in the playoffs...both will be promoted automatically.
