I can only assume that they thought the ball landed too far ahead of LC for him to have reached it and that the bounce would have taken it through to the keeper. Still a strange decision though.

Agreed, but surely the foul had been committed regardless of video evidence later showing LC may have not reached the ball, the defender clearly assumed LC would have met the cross of would have bothered fouling him.

It looked even more clear cut from the side camera angle. It's a clear red, I don't understand how that's been overturned? Maybe we should of appealed Harries last red card if that was the case.

Last week in the Everton v Man City game there was a contentious hand ball-poss penalty -decision which went in City's favour. In my day accidental handball didn't count it had to be intentional. However this decision which could affect relegation and the destination of the title even with VAR, was controversial, and the Prem League have apologised to Everton which won't be of much comfort if they are relegated. Moral is that even with VAR people can't agree on decisions so please don't be too eager to lambast when decisions go against us. Why don't you comment on today's strange decision rather than post something totally irrelevant, nobody is lambasting the decision on the night, it's the strange one made today overruling that decision that we're discussing.

Can we find the camera angles on the keeper during this? When player is going off, next minute he's sat on ground needing attention! I couldn't understand that either. Assumed it was time wasting to put some extra pressure on the penalty taker. Plus they could have a good chat with their manager.

Blimey Topper the discussion is about whether the red card was valid or not, and decisions elsewhere are relevant. You don't actually have to find fault with virtually every post made on here. It's not a forum rule.
