Or are we saying that now we are playing pretty football and doing well that we should brush this little "indiscretion" under the carpet? Interesting... Moral crusader smells blood in the water. Yep tiresome Let’s remember innocent until proven guilty regardless of whether we are playing pretty football or not

Where did you get this information? Not seen it reported anywhere - last I heard it was to start this Friday Yes Aghast it was being ‘discussed’ on OTIB as well yesterday and they’re saying it’s been rescheduled to May also. Sorry I can’t remember where I saw this first I sense they've just made that up, as it was the Stendel case which was adjourned until the end of the season, I can't see a one day trial in the Magistrates Court being adjourned for similar reasons, particularly when it's already been adjourned once from the original date.

As its their case and not the wife pursuaing I would suggest they need more time just like the Met dealing with Boris.

Can only see one outcome for this - case dropped!! Why, when the CPS clearly felt they had sufficient evidence to bring charges?

Apparently now rescheduled to May Where did you get this information? Not seen it reported anywhere - last I heard it was to start this Friday I looked at the Court listings for Wimbledon Magistrates' Court for this Friday.

All a bit odd if it has been adjourned again, or even dropped, given that it's not been reported anywhere in the press.

Can only see one outcome for this - case dropped!! Why, when the CPS clearly felt they had sufficient evidence to bring charges? The evidence can only be circumstantial imo. No one who actually saw the alleged assault is willing to testify and in a domestic case a spouse cannot be forced to testify against their partner and be in contempt of court if they don’t. Why delay this case twice for something which on the face of it, should have been fairly straightforward if the CPS thought they had enough evidence to prosecute in the first place? I wouldn’t be the least bit surprised if the CPS are reconsidering their original decision and as long as JB has kept his ‘nose clean’ they’ll drop it on the basis that the impact of a fairly minor conviction in legal terms far outweighs the impact that could be done to the domestic life of JB and his family - eg possibly losing his job which I’m sure his wife would not want. I can’t believe there haven’t been discussions between the legal teams and the CPS as to whether or not it’s in the public interest to pursue.

How do you know the CPS have delayed the case twice and it's not JB's legal team seeking adjournments? As far as your second paragraph, surely most of that would have been taken into consideration before they decided to originally bring the charges, I guess we'll find out the answer later this week when it's confirmed if the case has been adjourned or now dropped, assuming the trial isn't now taking place on Friday.

Do the CPS actually have to say if they are dropping proceedings or do they just not proceed? They'd clearly inform JB's legal team and I doubt he'd keep that news to himself for too long? I assume Sam Frost will have the 18th pencilled in his dairy and will be making his own enquiries if the trial doesn't go ahead.

Do the CPS actually have to say if they are dropping proceedings or do they just not proceed? Cps have to inform the courts and defence to vacate the trial. This decision could have been made by the police officer in charge of the case or the cps if it has in fact been dropped.

JB's doing the Northampton pre match presser via Zoom today rather than tomorrow in person, is that a sign he's got something more important to deal with tomorrow?
