I think Mad Dog will get the sack after about 10 games of next season and Akinde will drop back down to non league. We'll see.

I think Barnet will finish this season in 2nd as we win the league, they will then lose to Grimsby in the play-off final. Akinde will get sold to a top half league 2 side/bottom half league 1 side and Mad Dog will get sacked after failing to replace him at xmas time.

Since we beat Barnet they have won three from three, while we have dropped 4 points during an unbeaten run. We won't catch them unless it goes mental. I'm up for it going mental. They lose two, we win two. All to play for. Plenty of time left for a slip up.

If we win the league I doubt any of us will be worrying what Barnet are doing next season?
Akinde got stick whilst playing for us as he was brought into to score goals but was simply shocking, he'd have got stick if regardless of him being a Red but that hardly helped his cause.

After these next three difficult games i would still take being 9 points behind Barnet, just hoping we don't fall further behind. Nine points is still a catchable buffer zone. Absolutely catchable....

I don't think we'll catch them full stop. Why, they are hardly Chelsea of the Conference with home gates around 1,500 mark they can hardly have unlimited funds come the January transfer window, which be interesting as I assume there could be several Div 2 clubs looking to sign their better players. If they even have a 2 or 3 match hiccup we could be right on their tails if we keep our unbeaten run going. I agree catchable. Its only Barnet. Are we not confident enough to believe we can. I like the idea of being on Barnet tails. When we get that close we will be the form team. Barnet, move aside and let the big boys through!

The Best chance for us to catch Barnet is if Richertford starts supporting the BEES

Us old uns will remember 73/74 when we were running away with the old Div 3 but ended up 2nd to Oldham. If Akinde is injured or sold, Barnet could slump and we could catch them. I don't think it will happen but it is far from impossible. Musn't forget however that there are other teams involved, not just us and Barnet UTG Thank goodness for some sanity - Grimsby, Macc and Woking still have as good a chance as us !!

I'd argue that Woking might be out of it if their form carries on, really struggled in recent games after a great start. Best team I've seen at the Mem this season despite a 2-0 loss though. Macclesfield have us and Grimsby away in their next two games, really important that they don't lose those because if they do and both Rovers/Grimsby strengthen in January I think it might be too much for them to catch us up. Macc's financial problems and lack of squad depth will kill them off re: the title race if you ask me. You never know though, I guess. As for Grimsby, they will certainly have a say if Barnet slip up, as will we.

Been a bit distracted. Happy to be mental. Is that better than being normal? Seems like there's plenty of motivation on here, without me. Exciting times. Nine Points is nothing. I remember Newcastle throwing it away. The dressing room will believe it's possible. Plenty of twists and turns to come.

True but there's not much point in worrying about them as only 1 team go up. It's Barnet we need to focus on as they're so far ahead of all those teams you just mentioned as well as us. I think Grimsby will have a strong finish as will we, and I think Eastleigh could surprise everyone, they're in a false position with games in hand. Still doesn't matter what any of us do, we are all relying on a big balls up from Barnet.

Barnet are at home to Dover tomorrow and Dover's last 8 games are 5 wins and 3 draws so don't see that as easy as some might think for Barnet .So a win for us tomorrow and Dover take a draw off Barnet could see us close the gap by 2 more points..

According to Conference Scene stats Akinde has committed over 50 fouls and only been booked 5 times. How does he get away with it?

I think that we need a reality pill.
Its only 1.5 matches since we were feeling really cheesed off after an indifferent first half against Gateshead .
We have to play most of the top teams away from home and we dont have a natural finisher who can be relied to score on the break.
Our chances of doing well in this league are very much dependant on us outplaying the opposition and scoring a couple of the many chances that we hope to create. I like everyonne want it to happen but I think that we are being foolish if we forget that we still have Gateshead, Macclesfield and Grimsby to play away from home.
I am confident that we are good enough to put them to the sword but can we do it week in and week out?

Next month will be crucial. Barnet travel to Grimsby, lincoln and halifax. All very difficult games especially with lincoln finding form now. We travel to Nuneaton, dartford and Woking. A winnable games for us. Also with the transfer window open, I wonder if barnet can keep their top performers? If the gap doesn't close by the end of jan then I think we will be playing for a playoff place.

After the huge unbeaten run that season. I believe our unbeaten run ended at Wrexham. 1-0 if my remember serves me correctly. & Jim Eadie not conceding a goal for game after game.

I could be wrong but these are probably the kind of games the players thought would be a formality when the season started. Hopefully reality has kicked in and they realise they actually have to play football when they get there. All three of those teams would be happy with a point against us. We need to break them down and get an early goal. 0-0 at half time and the frustration will set in and who knows what'll happen.

Also don't the Holloway season when we looked like we had promotion in our grasp only to blow out when Roberts & Cureton decided they could do better elsewhere, could that happen to Akinde?

57 points to play for and we only need 10 points to catch Barnet maybe if they had a couple of bad results they might get the jitters, but you would have to say it's their title to lose.
