Not sure what’s going on but I’ve always thought it made more sense to give all the south stand to away fans ( more so in div 1 than div 2) and keep all the east terrace for home fans . Maybe the plan is to move the family stand down to the away terrace area ?

Some of the ST holders I've seen in the South Stand would have no chance of being able to access a seat in the East Stand, due to mobility issues. There are people in the front row who arrive in a wheelchair, and it takes two people to help them transfer to their seat. I really hope that the club have some sort of plan in place to accommodate those fans in a suitable area of the ground, and that it's not a case of displacing disabled fans for the sake of ££££. As you say, in these examples then Gasheads affected in this way need to be made the absolute priority when renewals come around. I have Tweeted TG to ask if an Impact Assessment was carried out. If so, it would be useful if they could share the solutions with fans, to put people's minds at ease if they will be affected by this change.

Will Forest Green even fill the South Stand? If we are serving pasties and sausage rolls FGR will sell out!

I would not put the kids next to the away fans though, the best place for the family area is back where it used to be in the North West corner (end of West terrace).

I’m sure an ST at no extra cost in the East Stand will cushion the blow. Something the club will surely offer up to all of those who have been South Stand loyal for so long. In terms of Away fans only, I’m all for it. Keep them in their own ‘end’ & maximise terrace space for the Gasheads. I'm not convinced that the club cares. It's all just about money for them now. To remove availability of much needed seating to the elderly, disabled and the many young families that use the South Stand is a disgusting decision.

What's the best stand for people with young families now then as I used this one recently?

But a lot of fans have trotted out "give the South Stand to away fans, and increase the standing for home fans" for several years, and I sometimes think the club is guilty of appeassing those fans who shout loudest, without considering the wider impact.

This is a pet hate of mine Tilly "those who shout the loudest get what they want". Seen it time and time again in life. 😒

What's the best stand for people with young families now then as I used this one recently? I presume it would be the South West stand, although with the South Stand gone I'm not sure how many seats will be available for one-off purchases. In reality, how many visiting teams will fill the South Stand?

It is only a small stand though.
If the fans normally in the away terrace are in the South Stand, it will appear pretty full for most games.

Maybe the club have looked at ticket sales for the south stand and feel it would be better used / bring in more income if it was the away end. Especially as often there are just 100 people on the away terrace and 50 or so in the away section of the south stand.
As has been said ,it does create issues for those who currently sit there. Maybe there is a plan in place ?

Haven't we always been punters as I cant remember being let in for nothing at matches?

Maybe a roof in the away end if it's now for home fans next season? I am sure Tom Gorringe has said that it is not viable to cover that stand as it would impact visibility for fans in the seats above?

Will Forest Green even fill the South Stand? Ordinarily I wouldn't have thought so.. but what if this was the game where they could win the title? Then again; why should we be allowing them any more than the minimum allocation anyway? I seem to recall they imposed the minimum % for the play-off semis at their gaff and even shredded any tickets from Rovers fans trying to get in the home end after that.
