We probably hold the record for least stadium improvements over the last 30 years! Embarrassing. The best way to improve the stadium, any stadium, is to fill it to capacity. We did that yesterday and will do for the last home games too. People make a stadium. Just look at the scenes when that goal went in yesterday or when the final whistle went. The most important part a stadium is it's soul.

I remember that game at Vale like it was yesterday. Who remembers the Vale fan getting knocked over by the fella in the pale blue disabled vehicle along the touch line after they scored? 😂🤣🤣😂😝 I remember it. Hilarious, but it wasn’t the playoff final when that happened, it was the league game a couple of weeks or so before.

Been upto Vale a few times, it's actually a nice stadium in respect and I always found the locals a friendly bunch. If you like real ale you'll like the Bulls Head on St John Square, opposite the church and just down from the war memorial. Always friendly to away fans (apart from Stoke, obviously.) Barbecue out the back too. There's a local brewery called Titanic (the Captain was from SOT) who sell there. www.titanicbrewery.co.uk/product-category/our-beers/Went to 'The White Star' in SOT many years ago. As you can imagine it was titanic themed. Asked an inexperienced barman what the connection was with Stoke. After thinking for a bit he guessed that the Titanic was built in Stoke. Head barman whilst have a laughing fit soon corrected him regarding the Captain. Strange to pay homage to a bloke who failed. Anyway, off for lunch at 'The Tisdale Tavern'

Fair play. Never realised your stadium was that large. Practically twice Bristol Rovers Memorial Ground capacity!!Very embarrassing for a club in the size of Bristol. Nice... Go hide in shame, the rest of us will carry on just fine.

There did seem to be plenty of bare terrace where the away fans would normally stand. Looked like it could fit in at least another 500 in there quite comfortably.

Would a small club like Port Vale make any headway in the third tier? I think it will be the same for any of the promoted clubs. Exeter have been a yo-yo team like Rovers. There is quite a difference in quality at top half of Division1. Still, the Gas will confront these issues when promoted! The most excellent chairwoman would ensure we have the players to compete in a higher league I feel.....

Port vale aren’t considered a small club in league one far from it there 19,000 all seated stadium also suggests there ready for the championship as well. With the current set up manager, owners and David Flitcroft as director of football a position we've never had before, I believe you're spot on here......

Vale have spent something like 45 seasons in the Championship Vale Park is nearly twice the capacity of the Mem, with a record crowd of just under 50,000 on our way to being cheated in the FA Cup semis. I think you may have confused us with a small club like Walsall! Well said as per DOHA!!......lol

Don’t bite mate. t’s a ridiculous statement, div one is hardly a massive step up .I’m sure VALE would be able to generate enough income to have a competitive playing budget. We did ok with practically the same team that got us from the National League to div 1.

I can see this game being as memorable as the 1989 one was [and still is for me].... Looking at the table this morning a point for us may not be a bad result provided Mansfield don't win at Carlisle tomorrow. Sadly Northampton will surely beat Harrogate at home for sure. For the Gas to have a chance of a top three finish you must win tomorrow I feel. Could be a end to end game with winner tomorrow taking ALL come the first Saturday in May. Tomorrow's THAT important and despite our amazing league record ATM that has to end one day.....I for one would take a point right now...

Our current league record's with the draw being a 0-0 v Exeter.......This great run has to end sometime and so I won't complain at a 1-1 outcome tomorrow....

Hand brake off tomorrow got to try for a win, high press and intensity needed, so maybe get LT in for Nicho, and start Evans.
After seeing a sunny Wembley yesterday, would prefer a final victory and the revenue that brings!
