Probably an unpopular opinion but Aaron Collins isn’t good enough. We need a better striker

Think we were a all a bit surprised by Tranmere's tactics? They just sat in, gave us loads of room, showed no intent as the home side. A bit bizarre as they are now out if the play offs!? Very frustrating that we didn't make the keeper work more, getting a bit predictable as well. Plenty of possession then the other team attacks and forces a save. Need pace and power up top....

We were by far the better team but I'll take the draw

We will need a decent striker or two if promotion is attained to reach top half of Division1
UTG..

Probably an unpopular opinion but Aaron Collins isn’t good enough. We need a better striker We definitely lack a out & out striker but in fairness to Collins I don't think he was brought in as a number 9. His strengths are more running towards goal rather playing with his back to goal. Ideally we need a younger version of Leon Clarke which I guess was the intention when we signed Loft.

Good point but still gutted . We had more than enough possession to of won that game . Can we hold onto a play-0ff spot ? 😬 We have got thus far without a real striker. The possession stats look dreadful as we had most ball but little shots

One things for certain,if we don't beat Salford then we can kiss the top three goodbye, all to play for in my book, but to me were not quite good enough. If we don't beat Salford we're in grave danger of dropping out of the top 7, particularly with PV being the following game and we've also got to play FGR who seem to rarely lose.

I must be in the minority, top 3 is still achievable. Two must win games coming up which will both provide unreal atmospheres!

We have dropped 5 points from the last 3 games with Collins or Nicholson not scoring or looking likely to. Evans not available again and Leon Clarke not chipping in. If Evans returns against Salford we can only hope he recaptures his form straight away. We can still do it but the aforementioned need to put many more efforts on goal rather than overplay it to no avail. Well done E.Anderson again.

Good enough point but disappointed as that is the end of our top 3 hopes IMO and that was an opportunity with them having a few players out. I don’t think it’s definitely the end of our top 3 hopes. Win this Friday a couple of results go our way and we could be 2-4 points off with four games left. It’s not over yet.

I can't see PV slipping up at Hartlepool, more likely we'll struggle to beat Salford.

Huge home game. Need to (and should with our form) beat Salford friday to keep us on track for play offs. Anything else and we could be playing catch up after the Vale game. For all JB has done well assembling this team he has failed 3 times with the right piece up from. Pitman. Clarke. Loft.

Yeah Friday obviously, spell check combined with a very poor signal down here on the beach it’s hard to get anything going online. Not saying we’ll make top 3 just saying it’s not out of reach yet. Port vale struggled to beat a side that have been in n the bottom four all season today , they only just mate it over the line where as we couldn’t get the winner. Next week it might be roles reversed. 15 points to play for.

With things as tight as they are a good point becomes an ok ish one, with the amount of possession and creativity in the squad we should be getting more 'tap' in kind of goals , we have scored many spectacular goals this season but IMHO not enough in the six yard box. As others have said we lack that instinctive striker to take up poacher positions as i am pretty sure our creative players would pick them out if we had one, will it cost us ,hope not !

There’s little between the two sides as the table suggests. We are still in it , Hartlepool got a draw at home to Mansfield in their last home game , IF we can beat Salford and Hartlepool got a draw this Friday then we’d be going in to the Vale game 3 points behind them. A lot can change quickly in football. Not winning today and results going against us is a massive kick in the teeth I’m not denying that but we are by no means out of the promotion push. I don’t know if you’ve ever been involved in a promotion push personally but I have and I know for sure that Barton and his team will still feel that they can achieve automatic promotion. Fans are up when their team wins and down when their team loses , professionalism is key to keeping your head up and keep on going. Are we favourites ? No Are we out of it ? No.

Disappointed with a point, now makes the next two must wins if we are going to be still in contention for third place.
Difficult having not watched the game, but loads of possession as Carlisle but not creating enough in final third.
We are still in with a chance, and don t fear anyone UTG
