In light of the rovers fans coming on the pitch against fgr ,rochdale and scunthorpe its clear something needs to be done. Rovers having to play behind closed doors for a number of games (?) Or the thatchers terrace closed for x amount of games (?) . Maybe reduced capacity on the terraced areas (?) We might be lucky and get away with a telling off a fine and evidence steps are in place to stop it happening again. The person who grants the safety licence may insist on certain things to be done before allowing crowds back into the mem (?) It is a problem at Rovers and needs sorting out. It’s a problem at every club whose had a whiff of success, not exclusive to us. As previously stated, it was a spontaneous act following a goal that put us right on track for promotion, there’s a list as long as your arm of other league grounds this has happened in. First points deduction talk & now Behind closed doors matches? The Hysteria is real. Didnt seem to see it at Rangers in their euro semi final. Cant accuse Rangers fans of not being passionate surely ?

How do they manage it at the bigger Clubs? Either Man City or Liverpool will be crowned Premership title, will they be on the pitch to celebrate? Doubt it. Passion has been running high for the games you've mentioned, although to be fair the Rochdale game was away and there was no-one in the pitch at Port Vale, but agreed, this sort if behaviour can't go on. It’s merely a result of unprecedented events. Nothing but sheer jubilation. Of course it shouldn’t happen, I was as annoyed as anyone watching it unfold but we all know it wouldn’t happen at just any regular league match. Last visit for me on this particular thread, nothing can sour the weekend even a jot, but this talk of points deductions, no promotion and BCD matches is making my already fragile head hurt😂 UTG bring on League One once again

All seater stadia helps towards this problem as does a purpose built stadium which has enough of a natural barrier between the stand and pitches. It's partly why, post Hillsborough why all seater stadia is required in the Premier League.

Some of our fans think its acceptable, we lost our rhythm when we went off, if Cobblers had scored and we needed another one we might have not got it, or some of the poorer refs might have abandoned the game then, I was told that if it happened again the ref intended to abandon the match. We have a few belters that we need to lose if they are not going to behave, fed up of hearing people say they ve paid their money, you dont behave like that anywhere else. Ever been to Benidorm? Yes Bags point taken 😂😂 not in the quaint Frenchay village pub mate 😂🍺

It’s all about getting a selfie with one of the players and then getting it on social media as fast as possible. As we all know, it didn’t happen unless it’s on insta.

During play - Moronic At the final whistle when promotion has been achieved - Perfectly fine, should be experienced by all & that is the end of the story😄 Trouble is rovers and city both have a large moronic element that don't care about anyone but themselves, selfish dickheads All clubs do. Last Tuesday at AFCB they did the same, when the match was over. But instead of getting off the pitch despite the stewards etc. many stayed there and the players didn’t come back out for a lap of honour or whatever. It spoiled it for the rest. It really p***** off the vast majority of the crowd. UTG!

Points deduction, play behind closed doors, or part of the ground closed - sounds rather extreme, given how many other clubs have pitch invasions at this time of year. I don't think that even Millwall have had any of those sanctions recently, and they do love a pitch invasion.

We may, if unlucky but hopefully the EFL will understand the emotion of the game, get our knuckles wrapped and fined, but that'll be it.

Game still in play pitch invasion was complete stupidity. Northampton were still playing, we could had needed 8 and we had momentum to achieve this. And when we did eventually make it back onto the pitch to finish the game and knowing the final result at Barrow, you think to yourself, what if Scunny sneak a goal ? So well done the idiots who almost ruined it for us all.

Exactly. Neither Rovers or the Ref would have known their Team selection until their Team Coach pulled into the Car Park. What did they expect us to do, complain that they're squad isn't competitive?

Better off concentrating on not doing an Accrington and losing the play off semi after missing out in the last minutes of the season!!

So we planned a 7th goal with 8 minutes to go, orchestrated a pitch invasion by several hundred randoms in order to get the Ref to take both sides off the pitch at the risk of forefiting the Match just so we'd know how to play after knowing the Northampton result? I'm surprised we're not being accused of bribing Barrow to score. Northampton didn't score enough and let one in, we scored enough and won with a clean sheet. The end. Exactly

Sour lady gardens. Perhaps they should have avoided drawing 0-0 with Scunthorpe?? Not to mention that we deservedly beat Northampton themselves twice proving our superiority. Hope they get smashed in the playoffs, which is likely if they waste their preparation time crying about not being good enough to get 3rd
