Any invasion during a game is one to be ashamed of. Flares are to be ashamed of. Just because there has not been an incident at our games does not mean that there will not be at one in the future. Stay off the pitch - simples.

There is no excuse for running onto the pitch at anytime during the game, it’s not showing passion it is reckless and stupid, had we needed to score again against Scunthorpe every bit of momentum we had built up was lost during the delayed restart, the idiots could have cost us dearly if things had changed at Barrow. Perhaps the “enthusiastic passionate idiots” who ran on the pitch would like to pay the fine that is no doubt coming our way ?

Yes a young yob came on and confronted the 17 year old Scunthorpe keeper after 7th goal pitch invasion and appeared to punch him.
Has he been identified yet from cctv?

The clip of Anderson’s goal in the latest special from the media team, (filmed from the family tent next to thatchers end) pans to the left and cuts off just in time before a young male in a black tshirt is close to the Scunny keeper. No doubt this footage would’ve rolled on a little longer and will show the club everything they need to see in regard to any alledged assault.

How will reducing capacity prevent pitch invasions and pyros? The idiots will still be at games.

Wael posted the longer version on his Instagram, whilst the Rovers fan confronted the goalie there was no physical contact between them. Not sure why the club's historian is posting something he can't prove?

Stay off the pitch - simples. I'll have to correct you there, flares are fine at grounds now. At the cup final Liverpool fans were clearly seen waving them around in the stands and no one batted an eye lid. I'll think you'll find there just banned at smaller less whinging clubs

Did one of them punch the Scunthorpe goalkeeper ? i thought i read something about that. It seems like Keith Hill was asked about it post-match and he refused to be drawn on any details: "And following the game Iron manager Keith Hill was asked by reporters from Radio Humberside about the late events, as well as whether his goalkeeper Owen Foster had been punched when supporters ran onto the pitch, as the player seemed to indicate to the referee himself.“I don’t really want to talk about it. The referee’s done a report and I want to leave it with them. I don’t want to spoil what is a tremendous day for Bristol Rovers and Joey,” said Hill after the game.“I don’t want it to be sour grapes but we have got a duty of care to our young players on the pitch and players on the pitch.“I spoke about this less than two or three weeks ago. About the health and safety of me and my staff in my technical area during the course of the game, and with respect to what did happen, the referee is going to file a report to the FA.“I can’t really divulge what happened [and if Foster was punched] and I don’t surmise and don’t want to comment on the actual facts, but everything will be revealed in due course,” added Hill."I haven't seen any footage myself, but if it happened then I hope it was captured on camera and the perpetrator is found and punished accordingly.

In some ways it's sad that a growing number of people are seemingly experiencing deficiencies in their enjoyment of life that they feel the need to "blow out" and act like a brainless dickhead at the football. It's grown a lot since lockdown, is there a link there?
